I doubt there will be a digital foundry article for the game. Doubt there will be any technical articles for the game. It's just not demanding by any means.
I have been waiting years for a new Geometry Wars! Eventually cracked the top 100 worldwide in a couple of modes with 2 during my addiction a few years back.
Can anybody make recommendations on how to get this running on a Mac? I don't have access to either my PS3 or 360 and don't have a copy of Windows.
I'm using a mid-2012 MacBook Pro with retina display (15").

Pacifism is definitely a lot harder than Geom Wars 2, and I'm still getting used to the quirks but it's pretty decent. Looking forward to digging into other modes.

Right off the bat, I agree with Black Holes. I hate he drop shadow though, often times I wind up flying past it only to get hit by whats dropping down, like in geowars 2 you could still fly through it until the enemy is there, seems drop/hit box is slightly off

Maybe the people at PAX only got to play a few of the Adventure mode levels, I'm not sure really as this game is great. What I think is awesome about this new game is they have those new levels, but they also made sure to include all the old game types in Classic mode. I couldn't stop playing Pacifism last night and I'm paying for it this morning.

I was actually curious to see the complaints that people had from PAX. I don't see any. I was guessing many from PAX that didn't like it probably weren't good in the others in the past or were people who seem to either never played the series/never got into it.
It literally plays the exact same as past Geo Wars games and it looks better. Adventure mode is a blast as well. Those that were whining about Adventure mode seriously need to shut it because it's optional since classic mode has every mode but sequence (which played like a single level anyway). This isn't the first time the series has had an adventure mode (Galaxies) and it's just what 3 needed. People were complaining just to hear themselves because let's be honest, if Geo Wars 3 was basically Geo Wars 2.5, they would whine about no new content.

Hoping for arbitrary resolution/framerate support in the PC version. I will absolutely be double-dipping if so (already bought on ps4 for RLF leaderboards).

Love the game so far. Only thing I'd comment on is that planetoid shapes are curved a bit too tightly sometimes, so you can't see what's "behind". That can be a drawback compared to SSD:HD which had perfect use of its spherical world to help you play in circles, without obstructing the view.
There were no drops whatsover in about an hour of my play time.

I like the Adventure mode with 3D shapes as well. It's a nice new addition, and it plays well, you just have to be more careful to not fly blindly around the 3D shapes on some levels.

Ok, played the PC version on Linux and holy shit this game is so addictive. This is the first Geo Wars I play and I can see myself playing this for a long time. Love it.
X1 version comes out in 5 hours i think

Just playing classic and pacifism so far. The game is amazing and I can finally stop being sad that Geometry Wars 2 never made it to pc. Glad I didn't listen to the gaf haters on this one.
