Capcom making everyone happy. Where are your gods now?

I'll tell you why Destiny is the best "online" experience DB.

You can play the whole story with two other people.
The whole experience is drop in drop out any time.
The crucible makes PVP really fun. And to further that, the Iron Banner.
Raiding. And it's not your typical MMO raiding. Requires platforming, stealth sequences, people doing certain things, etc.
Adding RPG elements to Halo based game play is gold.
I've had more friend invites and met more people during playing this game than I have ever online entirely.

And this is just the beginning. The game is only getting better. While it's not for everyone obviously. Nearly 3.5 million people playing daily and people crying over patches and changes just like in the FGC speaks for itself.

Made a post about Destiny but not worth it, I am so over that mediocre game.

Back to fighting games and SFV... the power up modes look interesting.

Not liking how the characters look really heavy and bulky, or just Ryu looking that way.

Unless he's supposed to be older and more Gouken like

@ about 59mins, Ruu invites everyone at NEC to Sea World.

It can be hard to decipher what a player is trying to do amidst the layers of counter counter counters. Here, Ruu just goes straight to it. Then latter you can see Ruu vs Satuo's Millia.

Some of those normals look pretty strange. Mainly Ryu's cr. Jab and what I assume is his cr. MK really stuck out to me. The animation looks a lot more natural and move realistically like an actual human persons body would. That's going to take some getting use to.

Overall I"m pretty happy with it. I'm not in love with the art but it looks like a different game with different mechanics. Grinding a new SF game from the ground up with so many years of SF4 under my belt will be pretty exciting since I have so much more knowledge under my belt when compared to touching SF4 or any other SF game for the first time.

I don't know how anyone can say it looks like SFIV. Especially after the official trailer. Those animations. So good. Sony going for the throat.

Sweet, thanks a lot.

As to SF5, the hitstun or hitstop or something looks a bit off to me. But it's early days and i'm sure they'll get it right.

Something about the timing/appearance of the combo seems weird to me. Makes me think that they're gonna go with more emphasis on chains like sfxt.

I don't think that one move Chun did was an otg. Looked more like a ground bounce from her air attack.

i agree. people who say it looks like SF4 after that trailer are blind. granted the ripped leak had lower resolution so it was kinda hard to see the crispness of the game but this game looks amazing. Animations look amazing and it looks faster than SF4. GOD im pumped.

Someone in the other thread said they'd heard that this takes place between IV and III. I'm not huge on the story in the first place, but I was hoping we'd finally get a sequel to Third Strike after 15 years.

edit: the artstyle isn't that far removed from SF IV, though. It's improved, yeah, but it's more of a variation on that established theme than it is a fully different iteration.

They both look younger than their SFIII counterparts so I wouldn't doubt it. This just means it'll take forever to get to an SF where we get to play Ken's son, etc.

It does look like sf4 art direction wise. Why is that hard to see.

Those new animations look cool. Ryu feels more heavy-bulky. Yea. Those ryu normals. Looks good. Not mind blowing.

Will play the shit out of it.

I know it would have been waaay more hype if the trailer wasn't leaked, but man, that trailer is soooo fucking good! Already watched it several times

I guess it makes a bit of sense that Seth went to work for Sony now. That may be a bit of a stretch, considering I believe he was at Sony Santa Monica, but I would think they wouldn't let a resource like that go to waste.

Whats he doing now though?

So is the made-for-console fighting game in japan equivalent to a direct-to-video movie in the U.S. Doesn't it lose some of it's legitimacy if a japanese FG isn't released in arcade?

Soul Calibur 3 got an arcade release after the console version. Dunno about 4 and 5.

I don't see how anything we have heard rules out a Japanese arcade release. Doesn't always have to go there first, you know.
