XSEED Teases 2015 Releases With New Years Image

I'm sad none of the teasers led to Trails of Cold Steel (aka Sen no Kiseki). :(

They probably don't want to tease another Kiseki game before they release Trails SC. It's obvious they intend to release Sen though because of the domain registration.

I actually bought that about 2 weeks ago worked fine US account.

Yeah, someone gave me the Heavenly Bundle from amazon as a Christmas gift and it worked for me. Now that I know Blood Drive is coming soon I should really get on playing those.

Good job and many thanks to all the sleuths in this thread. I'm looking forward to Blood Drive and Lord of Magna (cautiously for the latter). Not as interested in Onechanbara, but I'll look into it more if it's the PS4 version, which it sounds like that will be the case.

I'm waiting for Corpse Party to be released on the PC before I play it. Here's hoping it doesn't take too much longer, I'm super-excited to give it a try.

Well the PSP and PC releases are a bit different content-wise so it might benefit playing both versions at some point if you can manage it.

Sounds like a plan.

Given the unknown time-frame for the PC release, it's quite possible I'll have a Vita before that version is released. Either way, I'll take your advice and play through em' both.

well we know it's coming, the teasers aren't every game they're releasing this year

It's probably Fall '15 game. Teasers should show early 2015 games. XSEED probably will announce stuff like Cold Steel, Senran Kagura 2, Estival Versus, PoPoLoCrois, Xanadu Next and Luminous Arc Infinity in the E3 week as they always do.

This seems likely. My biggest wish is that everything will come out smoothly this year. Hopefully less hiccups so we can see more stuff!

*sigh*

None of the teaser games for me I guess. (I already have Ys VI.) Disappointing.

The only XSEED game I have to look forward to now is Trails SC and maybe Brandish. I hope there are some more unrevealed games coming soon that are more my style.

Well the PSP and PC releases are a bit different content-wise so it might benefit playing both versions at some point if you can manage it.

The story is essentially the exact same between PC and PSP, so if you're only concerned about canon, you're OK either way.

The PSP version does feature additional "Extra Chapters" that help develop the cast of characters a little more, however, along with a few alternate wrong endings not present in the PC version. And the PC version features numerous scenes in chapter 5 that aren't present in the PSP version, as well as a few slightly altered lines of dialogue throughout (we're talking VERY slightly, though), totally different voice-acting all around (some of which really changes the way you look at certain characters), and an extra chapter based on "Tooth" from Corpse Party: Book of Shadows (probably the coolest addition!).

So if you're a fan and you really want to see everything there is to see, playing both is definitely recommended. But if you're only concerned with finding out what happens during the game's story, you should be OK with either entry.

I paid good money for this Dynex!
Hey Tom, as long as we've trapped you in this thread... any word on GOG releases for the Ys games, or are lips still sealed?

ULTROS!

People seem to like me because I am polite and I am rarely late. I like to eat ice cream and I really enjoy a nice pair of slacks.

Most of the notable ones have fan translations already, though an official release of something like Ever17 could probably do well. I doubt the market for VNs in NA has grown big enough for something like White Album 2 to be profitable, which is a shame.

I can't even imagine a version of Ever17 that didn't have classic lines like 'Naturally, I knows the hacker' in it at this point. It's almost part of the game's charm.

The idea of White Album 2 in English is...kind of terrifying, to be honest. Largely because I love Maruto's writing and can't really imagine anyone doing it justice, but yeah. You'd probably have to spend a fair bit on the script, and then it definitely wouldn't make money.

Tom, is XSEED done with the PSP after Brandish and Trails SC?

No idea. As others have noted, there's still 3rd hanging over us, there's always the possibility (however remote) of something like Nayuta, and I could see us maybe releasing Zwei!! on PSP if and when we get to the PC version. But that's all just guesswork at this point. I certainly don't think it's outside the realm of possibility, and I'd definitely like us to do more, but there is a very real chance SC will be the last PSP game from XSEED.

Tis' true, sadly.

I wish more horror novels were localized like Shin Hayarigami.

I truly hope we at least get The 3rd on PSP. I would love to have all of them portable.

(Or if not that, get the PS3 remasters.)

I'm hoping for the best, you know I'm always supporting XSEED in any way I can.

Hmmm, not interested in any of those 4. Only 2015 release I want at this stage is TitS SC.

Give me Trails of Cold Steel plsssss D:

Oneechanbara is actually tamer than something like Bayonetta as far as sexuality goes, the only sexiness comes from some of the costumes really.

Yeah, what I've seen of the series is actually pretty impressive -- it's pure girl power. The franchise gets kind of a bum rap, though I think that's largely due to the way it's advertised.

Zonic

Gives all the fucks
If it is Z2 Chaos, we should celebrate with strawberry & banana shakes.

Also I think I mentioned it earlier, but this reminds me I should try the 360 game eventually since I bought it a year or so ago for only $3 on Xbox Live.

onechanbara z is great fun - way, way better than the previous games. xseed done good.

This is the person who had me looking into the games a few days before this all happened. I was going to import Z Kagura with NoNoNo! later this month but I just might wait now.

With all this talk of SC, I should really get around to TiTS FC. Is the PC version a lot better than the PSP version? I prefer gaming on handheld but if the steam version is way better I guess I should buy it on sale right now.

Yes, please. I love me some Falcom ARPG. I need more.
Zwei series exists on PC, so I would play it there, but Nayuta is PSP only, so I hope you will localize it.

Pancakes

hot, steaming, as melted butter slips into the cracks, drizzled with sticky sweet syrup OH GOD
Everyone knows regular Pancakes are superior anyway.

Aside from graphics and some small quality of life adjustments I doubt the gameplay or story is much changed. I'm not sure if retry offset was included in the PSP version but it was one the game's saving graces for me.

Onechanbara Z2 is getting localized?? That's something I didn't expect, now I don't have to import the Japanese version!

Well, I'll give Ys VI another shot on PC I guess.

I won't lie, this is the only Ys game that never clicked with me. I got it when it released on PS2 and later on PSP. I didn't hate the PS2 game but I didn't particularly enjoy it, while I remember the PSP version was a hot mess.
