These people always make me feel like I'm awful at these games

I knew the video would just be trickster spam before I even opened the thread. That teleport Dante has means as long as you do the enemy step you never need to touch the ground no matter where you are on screen.

It's videos like this that make me buy these games only to be severely disappointed with the realization that I'll never be able to do those things that I saw in the video.

Great!

Can't wait to see this on Kotaku tomorrow with a cool headline full of awesome buzzwords!

...and an apology for the music...

I don't play DMC, but are you saying that it's not that hard ?

I'm assuming this is a heavily modded version of the game?

The skins and lighting effects are the result of mods. Everything else, no.

Staying in the air whilst never touching the ground and never being hit is not easy, especially not while playing as Dante. Also the parts where it looks like he's zigzagging side to side is incredibly difficult to pull off like he does here.

Well I actually don't mind DmC (solid 7.5/10) and think that all the hardcore changes, fixes and toggles they added to the PS4/Xbone version are great, this video shows why hardcore DMC fans do not like DmC. This is high level, high skilled play. It looks effortless but he or she had to earn all that airtime and its not exactly easy. Hence why so many people are surprised in here that this is even possible. In DmC on the other hand (The original release version at least), you can do similar stuff to this, but with virtually no skill involved. in DMC3 and 4, staying in the air for this long is a challenge. DMC3 even has a secret challenge level where you have to stay in the air for 20 seconds and its one of the harder secret levels. DmC on the other hand, you can stay in the air for as long as you like with virtually no reason to land because you can just infinitely do actions like that. That is just one reason. It is not just Dante's hair or attitude guys. DmC went style over substance...DMC goes for style AND substance. Just felt like stating that lol

It's not like the techniques he are applying are difficult either on the surface. But he's applying them while avoiding getting hit and beating the boss. I think that's a good way to analyze for a start just how amazing the combat systems in the real DMC series is. So many aspects are simple on their face, but can be combined in completely novel and creative ways to create all new approaches to combat and challenges.

Everytime I see a video like this I get a massive urge to reinstall DMC4, goddamn the game is great.

I seriously can't wait until DMC4:SE comes out so I can style with Vergil! <3333
