No heavy ammo is a big foul... seriously everyone is underleveled for HM Crota and you need heavy synths to take down his shield. This will end up blocking many of further attempts this week.

No, taking down Crota's shield with a sniper won't cut it.

Tried Crota with a group of LFG'ers since everybody on GAF seemed full. We got so friggin close. Our swordbearer wasn't the best, didn't seem to understand Crota kneel timings or how to call out for rockets.

On our best run Crota followed us into the Deathsinger chamber and killed me. Other runs people just kept dying to ordinary crap or Swordbearer mistakes.

I really think what would have helped us is if the Warlocks had been using Gjallarhorns and Titans using SUROS. Maybe two Hunters in case one went down or can alternate the Blink strikes.

I'm also thinking that a group that simply can't stay alive anywhere else but center window should have a string of Titan bubbles one after the other to just survive there while the Ogres are being killed. We lost so many people to the Boomer Fireworks.

EDIT: Also at some point my health started to regenerate. All I did was pop a heavy synth. Not sure what was up with that.

will do. I'm keen to get up a lvl or two so that I can do the weekly strikes a bit harder for more coins.

I'm also trying to get my vanguard rank up to 2 so I can buy some legendary armor. I have to do so many bounties to get up to rank 2, it seems a bit unreasonable.

IMHO the Ogres were the tough part. Not the sword. Now with that new right room strategy it´s almost trivial.

Of course having Dhruv on your team always helps....

I was on boomer duty for my raid crew. It makes such a difference. Simply keep them from shooting and it becomes easy mode.

Once you get the 12th hit on Crota, 6 per sword, run to the tower on the right. They always spawn after 30 seconds.

That's a good question regarding Crota.

As far a crucible specs, I can help with Voidwalker: Axiom bolts, Blink, Shatter, Life Steal, Arcane Wisdom, Angry Magic (cause I regularly misfire Nova Bomb , Chaos Order and Vortex Mastery.

Gear wise: Voidfang Vestment (I like to spawn with grenades for extra spamminess), Shadow Price, Murmur (or Final Rest II) and whatever heavy I'm feeling for the match and FWC bond.

How did you go through so many? Do you top up after every wipe even if you have rockets left?

This bug sucks, but I don't get how you can use that many synths when you usually get 1-2 purple ammo drops per attempt. Don't waste a synth unless you are actually out of ammo...

Well, a proper attempt on Crota will usually take anywhere from 6-8 rockets. 3 per sword and sometimes one more if I'm also getting a line on the Swordbearer. Every death you lose ammo and most of the time there just aren't any pickups at all. Hard mode seems to be a fickle bitch for ammo drops to me. I'm not refilling at the beginning of the fight, I'm fast refilling only when I hit 0 rockets during an attempt. Trust me I'm not the only one on here complaining about the amount of heavy synth I've been going through. Regardless it's a bullshit bug that's been around for far too long and should have been fixed ages ago.

Got 7 exotic engrams and got 3 new helmets out of it. Also bought RDM. So 3 new helmets, 4 exotic shards and RDM is a good haul for me. Still have over 60 coins too.
