Yeah, I bought a brand new black WRX in 2005 and it was damn sexy when sparkling clean. However, that was done about 48 hours after washing.

There are large parts of California where air conditioning is never needed at all, either in houses or in cars.

yeah, my apartment in LA didn't have A/C. Granted it would have been nice at times, but not necessary.

I lived in South San Francisco for a year. I didn't even need my heater, let along A/C. It was basically 60-70 all year long. Now I live in the hottest part of San Jose, Evergreen.. fortunately, the house is solid concrete, so all I have to do is leave the windows open at night and close them in the morning, and it stays cool all day.

Good call on the Charger, that is right up there in my mind with Caddies and most of the Audis as far as "cars that look completely ace in black". After making the horrible mistake of silver with my last Civic, my next car is probably going to be black or close to it.

That said...

Black cars are automatically "pimp". Ever seen a red Cadillac? I don't think so.

I'm not a fan of their straight-up red, but I'd take one of the new CTS's in Black Cherry.
