NOTE: It is NOT confirmed that this a PS+ game, wait until the official blog post.

GodIsAGeek: 10/10

OlliOlli 2 is a perfect example of a sequel to a game done right, as they’ve successfully managed to keep the soul of the game while simultaneously innovating how you play it. Faultless.

Twinfinite: 5/5

After 10 wonderful hours with OlliOlli 2 and taking in everything the game has to offer, there’s only one reason why you wouldn’t buy the game on release; if you don’t have a PlayStation 4 or Vita. While other games may offer a laborious grind to the end, OlliOlli 2: Welcome to Olliwood brings you a new kind of grinding that never gets old and keeps the sparks flying for hours to come.

TrustedReviews: 9/10

If you enjoyed the original OlliOlli, then this sequel is an absolute must-have. For those who didn't play the original, OlliOlli 2: Welcome to Olliwood is the better of the two beasts and will have you kickflipping and grinding all day long. Multiple modes, lots of replayability and a wicked soundtrack create a perfectly addictive little combo.

PlayStation Lifestyle: 9/10

Cinematic in name and in nature, OlliOlli 2 nails everything that a sequel should aspire to be: iterating on the core concepts of its predecessor by offering a more refined and enjoyable experience. Not only that, Roll7 has crafted a second album to be proud of, one which takes seconds to learn and possibly an eternity to master.

IGN: 9/10

There’s essentially no limit to how good you can get at OlliOlli 2. Just when you’ve mastered beating levels in a single combo and timing every single grind and manual perfectly, there are a host of other mechanics to integrate into your skating to bump that high score even further skyward. Why land in a boring old manual when you could revert into it? Why do a standard trick or grind when you could add a rotation or pull off something more complex with a longer – and riskier - animation? And hey, are you grind switching on every rail you can? It’s an impressively layered game, and does a great job of tapping deep into the skater psyche, where an obsession with tricks and effortless style intersect.

TheSixthAxis: 9/10

It’s always good when you can see exactly where a game has improved over its predecessor, and even better when every part of the game has improved in some way. OlliOlli 2 fits into the latter camp, bringing some brilliant new mechanics to the table and creating a much faster-paced, better flowing, and downright addictive game with some slick presentation and awesome new environments.

PSU 9/10

Bolder than ever before, Olli Olli returns with new stages, tricks and a superb tutorial and practice system for folks who may have been dissuaded by the steep learning curve of the original. While no ground-breaking alterations have been made to last year’s game, Olli Olli 2 still effortlessly proves itself as the finest skater in years.

PushSquare: 8/10

Who needs blockbusters when your local indie theatre is rolling out releases like this? OlliOlli 2: Welcome to Olliwood doesn't re-invent the wheel, but its subtle tweaks result in a vastly improved experience; Tony Hawk's promised Pro Skater reboot will certainly have its work cut out if it wants to top Roll7's latest take on the genre. Tight controls, top-notch levels, and tons of content ensure that this sequel makes a clean landing – the only stumble being that its excellent local multiplayer mode isn't quite finished yet.

DigitalSpy: 8/10

OlliOlli 2 is a great example of a sequel done right. The developer has been very astute in identifying areas that could be expanded on, tweaked and refined, while leaving the excellent controls, campaign and daily challenges untouched.

GameReactor: 8/10

Aside from a couple of minor gripes, this is a great package. There's plenty to do, and there's a huge amount of challenge for players to get their collective teeth stuck into. Those who dedicate themselves to perfecting the tricks and grinds needed to compete at the highest level will have potentially dozens and dozens of hours of game to busy themselves with, while everybody else will at the very least have plenty to do before they're beaten and move on to something else. It's a stern challenge whichever way you look at it, and as such it won't be for everyone, but competitive masochists and high scoring perfectionists will find plenty to enjoy in Roll7's skater sequel.

Eurogamer: Recommended

OlliOlli2 remains very faithful to the template its forbearer set, down to the additional Spot and Daily Grind additional modes that focus attention on deliberately brief scoring challenges. Cautious as its updates initially seem, it is another superb twitch game, obsessed with the currencies of difficulty, speed and score. Best of all, it manages to capture so much of the movement and feel of skateboarding without ostracising players who have never touched a board in real life.

GamesRadar: 3/5

The good news is OlliOlli2 retains the pure mechanics of skateboarding despite its increased absurdity. The bad news is, just like in real life, skateboarding here is hard, and sometimes the euphoria you feel at the level’s end isn’t worth the grind it takes to get there. It’s perhaps not the best sign when your abiding memories involve wincing as your character twists into a pavement pretzel. Push through that wall though and you’ll find a satisfyingly realistic sports game regardless of those mech factories and piranha pools.

It's really good, guys!

Currently polling second in Australia's federal election (first in the Gold Coast), this feral may one day be your Bogan King.
Loved the first (and my review was called "definitive" by the dev team SHAMELESS PLUG), so I'll be all over this like flies on shit. Good shit.

Nice, looking forward to checking this out as I never played the first, and if it's part of PS+ that's even better - got waaaay too many games I wanna pick up this month
and hardly enough time or money

If it's free on PS+ I'll try it. I'm hoping it ends up like Hotline Miami for me, something I had zero interest in but ended up being incredible.

Wonder why it's labelled OlliOlli2 (PS Plus) in that tweet. Has any game ever had a separate PS Plus version? Could this mean not all content is available like Driveclub PS Plus version was supposed to be like?

Glad to see this game getting more positive attention from reviewers! I felt like the first game was overlooked by a lot of outlets when it came out so it's good to see people taking to OlliOlli2.

Can't wait to get my hands on this later today. Hopefully it turns out to be free on PS Plus, but if it doesn't, I'll be purchasing right away anyway!

Good review scores. Not surprised since the first one was very solid. A tad too trick/score based for my taste perhaps but a fine game indeed. I will probably buy this one too. Got to support good and promising developers.

I've been surviving on Ollie Ollie and other Indie games. They might be simple in design, but they are more innovative and fun than so many high budget games, at least for now....

Just got the first one a week ago and haven't finished it yet but definitely gonna see if this hits +, either way it will be miiiiine miiiiine.

Thank you devs who made this little gem.

I skipped out on the 1st one and I'm really in need of something to play on the train right now. Looks like this is it. Can't wait to download it later on my Vita.

Sounds great. Loved the first one so I'll definitely cop this. Hope the soundtrack is just as good as the first one.

Definitely buying this and Helldivers tomorrow. Being part of the PS+ lineup would be a bonus but I'll get it even if it isn't.
Is XB1 going to get this game eventually? OlliOlli (Part 1) is releasing this week on XB1.
OlliOlli originally came out on Vita in January 2014 so it will probably be ported to other consoles, but you might be waiting a while.

Ask me about my Stream Deck
I wish I hadn't just purchased the first one now... I was really thinking helldivers was going to be ps+.

Da heck?!

I guess I'm buying it.

Did they ever patch the buggy Vita version of the first. I stopped because got tired of the bugs.
