Fuck everything. Damn. I was pretty positive it wasn't going to be delayed. I am extraordinarily sad. I am happy that they have more time but a whole year. :-(

I don't think this is bad from a perspective that it'll probably be a better experience because of the delay, but goddamn Sony has trouble getting games out on time. Infamous was supposed to be a PS4 launch title, got delayed till March. Driveclub, well, we know what happened there. Bloodborne was delayed. The Order was delayed. Two of those titles were arguably still bad experiences after lengthy delays. So for the second straight holiday they are going to rest their holiday season on a whole lot of nothing. I mean, I love Persona, but I know that won't carry a holiday season for them. I'm not even certain that'll make it out in the West this year.
I totally expect Sony to try and rest their entire Holiday hopes on a UC Remaster, which seems like a dumb idea. A remaster like that is a supplementary title, not a marquee release. Meanwhile MS will probably manage to get most of their games out on time, barring QB if the rumor is true. And don't think I'm picking sides. I want Sony to do well as much as anyone, but the fact that they have done a very poor job timing out exclusive releases and then falling flat with quite a few of them to this point is pretty concerning.

Really disappointing and I didn't expect it, but if they're making the decision today I think they have something else high profile and exclusive to release otherwise they would have tried to push development and announce the delay at last minute (September) in worst case. Either this or Yoshida is unfortunately doing a bad job at handling first party development on PS4.
And this is why I don't care much about games until they're getting really close to release.

Damn. Didn't realise they delayed every PS4 game due this holiday season!
Can't say I'm happy about the wait, but I'm quite happy that the development team is being very honest with itself and keeping the standards high (wouldn't expect much less from ND). I have so much faith in this team and if they think they need more time, I have no doubt it will be time well spent.
I am having flashbacks to Uncharted 3. Most people complained about the game breaking glitches, the LACK of motion blur (which ND said was a bug), and the off putting shooting mechanics which were all prevalent at launch.
We've seen what Naughty Dog can do when you rush them. I think we should trust the dude's who helped ship the Last of Us AND Uncharted 2.

Because PS4 will be 2 years old and have gone without one so it makes sense.

What I meant was that if CD wouldn't have signed the timed exclusivity agreement with MS, they could have delivered the game by holiday of this year in PS4 too. The deal made sense when it needed a marketing push to compete with Uncharted, now that the later was dalayed, the exclusivity agreement is worthless, at least in the aspect of setting the game as a direct Uncharted competitor (certainly the agreemnt benefits both parties beyond that).
Yep I have a feeling that more 2015 titles (and I'm not talking about PS4 titles only) will get delayed to Q1/Q2 2016, on the other hand as many guys in here already said it's better to take their time and deliver better and more polished games.

I am okay with this delay. These games are always quality. Guess the TR vs UC4 showdown isn't happening. Will TR come to PS4 the same year as UC4? Kinda defeating the point of timed exclusivity to MS. "TR Exclusive this holiday on xbox"
What will Sony have this holiday season in terms of BIG first party? MS is bringing Halo 5, Forza 6, Fable Legends plus timed TR. Not to mention the marketing deals with AC, COD and The Division. I think Sony must announce something. Do any of their first party studios have anything for holiday 2015? Give us good bundles Sony.... Hopefully they can do something to at least sell 1:1 in North America over the holidays.

With all types of games being slaughtered this gen, it makes sense that naughty would want to do the best they can, these guys are perfectionists. Perhaps they want to go after 60fps or perhaps they want to make the best looking/playing 30fps tps since tlou.

I hope I'm not one of those posters you're referring to but I am very disappointed. My case is different than most posters here because they already have PS4's while I'm planning on getting one this December and I really wanted Uncharted 4 to be the first game I play on the PS4. Oh, well, I guess this delay does have a few bright sides. I can spend more time on The Order, Batman Arkham Knight and MGS5 first, then.
GOTY is reserved for Witcher 3.
Uncharted trilogy remastered surely then should be coming this holiday.

We had a thread just yesterday (the QB thread I think) where it was pointed out that every year is the "best year ever" until half the holiday games get pushed into spring, and half the spring games get pushed into fall.
So I'll repeat my advice from yesterday: Unless your game of interest has a release date set in stone by marketing, it's pretty safe to add 6 months. I'm sure ND isn't blind to the consumer blowback over things like performance issues in AC Unity, multiplayer issues in Halo, or content issues in the Order. Sony has the luxury of not needing the game pushed out ASAP to push sales, better they make the best game possible.

I think you should be the one to read the conversation from the beginning, because the person I quoted didn't understand the conversation I was having in the first place. I quoted someone who for some reason thought I was talking about PS4 exclusives as a whole, when the conversation clearly started around talking about Sony's output for the PS4. Most of his list has nothing to do with my point and doesn't really do anything to prove that Sony is going to have a great lineup of first party games this year.
The Ratchet and Clank game isn't new. It's a reimagining of the original PS2 game that's going to come out to help promote the animated movie they're making.
And you not having a Vita and getting to play Tearaway for the first time doesn't really make the PS4 library any better for me. I didn't buy a PS4 to play games I already can and have played on other systems. It's like saying I should be excited for a port of Sly Cooper: Thieves In Time on PS4 even though I can and did play it two years ago when it came out.
If you're trying to prove someone wrong about a studio's output for the year and the only things you can list so far are one new game and two remade games, you're putting up a pretty weak defense. Of course, Sony could bring something out at E3 or TGS, but that remains to be seen. If we only go by what we know is coming out so far this year, I don't think it's far fetched to say that it's not a great line up coming from Sony.

I'm glad they are taking their time with this, but at the same time this was 1 of the 2 $60 titles I was planning on buying this year (the other being Batman Arkham Knight), so for me personally it's disappointing. At least I get to unfreeze that money in my yearly gaming budget I guess.
Hopefully something at E3 interests me, as of right now most of the last half of this year is barren as far as my personal interests go.

I don't mind a game being delayed. We have too many games releasing in an unfinished state these days. Though I do wonder what Sony is going to replace UC4 with. It's too late now to announce brand new games for Holiday Season 2015. Are they going to rely on marketing and third-party games to carry them like in 2014 and 2013 or do they have a trick up their sleeves?

Wow this succckkkkssss but I guess it makes sense, they don't want to pull an Uncharted 3 where they had ridiculous crunch time towards the end and the game wound up suffering for it quality-wise (both in single and multiplayer).

I said "seemingly"...it just seems like there will be no games I want for my PS4 at Christmas. I can have opinions on what games I'm looking forward to...
For all I know a PS4 game I want will be out for Christmas this year. Like Titanfall 2... Or The Last Guardian maybe.
