All Bloodborne Amazon prime buyers that got late shipments

I saw a lot of members had problems with the shipments.

If you've got prime and your copy wasn't delivered on time, talk to customer service as you are entitled to a free month of prime as its in the fine print of the service.

Interesting, when I e-mailed them I received a partial refund on the purchase but no mention of a subscription extension. I wonder if that is because they claimed that the fault was with the carrier.

I litterally haven't been paying Prime for like a year because I ask for this every time they miss their delivery date.

Even if it's the carriers fault they extend.

I wish I would've known sooner as I've had so many late shipments thanks to the horrible courier services they use and the post office.

Yeah, got a month for complaining.

Its supposed to be here today so I can't be too upset, but I bought a PS4 just to play it release day. Is it mostly the collector's edition?

Wait...I was told Prime was fucking amazing, never late, and sometimes deliver early.

Pffft...Amazon and Prime are shit. I've had so many shipments late they've given me literally hundreds of dollars in credit over the last couple of years. Its mindblowing to me considering they have 2 huge distribution centers in 2 states that border me and they are literally hours away.

I'm to the point though where I'm so disgusted with it, I don't want credit anymore. I just want my shit on time.

I opened like 4 different chats yesterday, I was given 4 months of prime for free, and also I was given a full refund for the game, which is awesome. So that covers my purchase of Dark Souls 2.

Kinda related. I didn't order the game from them but I did order the guide when it was announced. It still hasn't shipped. Could I complain about that too?

That's kind of a gross thing to do.

Hey it was offered, I wasn't arguing for that. 1st chat said don't worry it's fine, on Monday, it still hadn't shipped by 8pm, free Prime. 2nd chat, it's late but may be there by Tuesday prior to 8PM, free month of prime. Still not shipped Tuesday afternoon, it'll be there don't worry or we'll refund the purchase, free month of prime. Then shipped but in South Carolina, not NY, they refunded the purchase and a free month of prime.

I legit was taking time out of my day to get a definite answer as to what the hell was going on with the game.

I don't have prime, but it seems like "free shipping" means "We'll ship it two weeks later".
I could have lived with receiving the game on the 27th or even 30th, but not on April 9

Cancelling my order today and pick it up elsewhere.

Yea, Amazon has slipped in quality these last few years imo.

Sorry to hear that. For what it's worth, in my 5 years of having Prime, none of my two day packages have been late.

I guess everyone's experience will be different though due to different shipping methods. As someone who lives in the middle of nowhere, it's invaluable to me.

My Amazon CE arrives today (a day late). Yesterday they dodged the subject and said it would arrive on time... Last night I sent an email complaining about how they missed the release day delivery I selected as a Prime member. This morning I woke up to an email indicating $20 dollars was refunded to my card. Sounds good to me, Collectors Edition for the regular version price.

I think I've had one late package (out of 481 orders) in the last 5 years of Prime. I'd be more likely to blame those delivering the package over Amazon/Prime.

Edit** Just noticed you can see how many orders you made each year, neat.

I also had 1 damaged package over 5 years. It was a Link Amiibo, haha. They refunded me right away.

Be careful with Amazon, too many returns/complaints can result in a lifetime ban.

I have always heard this and it scares the crap out of me since I love Amazon. While advertising a "guaranteed release date" and then not fulfilling on that guarantee should be 100% on Amazon (and heck, should even be automatically corrected with a credit or free Prime time or whatever without having to open an incident log), I am skipping complaining this time even though my order is being delivered today. Saving my complaints for when something more major happens, like a rock band kit not working or something of that magnitude.

Ah, gotcha. My bad for assuming.

I spoke with CS via chat and was only offered free overnight shipping for my delayed CE. I received a shipping confirmation and it should be here on Thursday.

Usually Amazon is quick to offer a partial refund or credit but not this time. The rep even went on about her brother being in the same situation (lol). They probably didn't offer a prime extension/trial because I am on a family member's prime account.

For future purposes, you can contact them before shipping (a day or two before is idea to check your arrival est.) and they will move it to 1-day shipping which arrives the same day.

It largely depends on the agent. I've had one agent tell me they couldn't help, tried contacting a different agent right after, and had a completely different outcome.

Also, I don't know how common the banning is. I imagine those that get banned are really abusing the system, such as buying something and getting credited back several times over. As long as you have a fair and legitimate complaint, you shouldn't worry.

I think the return banning is a myth... at least in the UK. I've returned hundreds of items, including a complete PC that I'd built out of seperate components... luckily I'd kept all the boxes for everything!

Bloodborne is the first time they've screwed up release-day delivery for me :(

I ended up just picking up the game elsewhere and will be returning Amazon's copy when it shows up.

I should have elaborated, I can see how that looks like fraud. But chats were throughout various times and from various different answers as to what was going on.

Uh, you should have contacted them and told the rest of the chats what happened or closed them out. It only looks like fraud because it is.

edit: saw the other post. Makes more sense now. You scamming dog you.

My and seemingly others' pre-orders haven't shipped yet, even though their site is still taking new orders with expected delivery dates of this Friday with free 2 day delivery for some. While on their forums, people are saying customer service is telling them their new expected delivery date is April 1st.

So new orders get fulfilled, while pre-orders are kept waiting? What a shitty way to treat customers.

They do crackdown on excess refunds.

already said.

It never shipped yesterday, so I cancelled my order and set the game to download while I was at work. Highly inconvenient.

I feel for the ones who havent gotten their copies yet. Ive been there with other games like Diablo 3 CE. Its strange, some games I order the CE on the 1st day it is listed and I still get the game late. Compensation varies depending on the rep you talk to, Ive gotten everything from 20 dollar credit, 3 months of prime to free overnight shipping on my next order. Thankfully I got my Bloodbourne CE on time. Hope everyone else gets their pre ordered copies today.

Lol @ white knights giving a guy grief for barley taking advantage a multi-billion dollar company.

Amazon has one of the best customer service around and have treated me VERY well for over 10 years. I'd rather not exploit their "kindness" by trying to get a few extra bucks. That's how companies change their policies for the worse. Doesn't matter if they are a multi-billion dollar company - doesn't make it right to try to defraud for extra credit.

What counts as late?

I pre-ordered in September, was promised the game on Thursday, and am getting it today. Does my shipment count as late? Was I entitled to release date delivery?

This is what I don't get. What exactly is the policy behind a "guaranteed delivery date" at Amazon? I've seen people get anywhere from no compensation, to a $3.99 credit, to 4 months of additional Prime. What exactly is the guarantee?

I'm not really sure they have one. The definitive answer seemed to be prime. ANy time I talked to them to see what's going on they offered a free month of prime. Hell I STILL don't have the game from Amazon, called this am, as UPS now says it has special instructions, which I didn't give, they changed the goddam address. Again even after they already refunded the price for the game, they offered a free month of prime, so that seems to be the standard, we screwed up, here's the bandaid. Truly infuriating though, I just want the CE, I'm not really sure what's going on with them lately.

I know everyone on here likes to white knight, that it's wrong I opened chats with Amazon, but seriously, I still don't have the game, and I may not get it today, when I spoke with a rep, they had the right address, but somehow a suite got added to it. If they removed the suite with UPS, it'd take another day to deliver the CE. At that point I just said, fine let the shipment go through, it'll go to the right address, it's the only business there, so it can't get lost, but damn, this whole thing with Amazon has been a fiasco.

After all the time I spent correcting their mess, they should have refunded the price, this is one of the worst shopping experiences I've had with them.

I don't mind preordering off amazon, but I always had a "screw me once" attitude with it. This is the first time I preordered a game that simply did not ship. This was the last time I ever preorder a game from Amazon. Gamestop is five minutes away from me, I'll just go there.

That's what I was telling them when I had them on the phone. I have a Gamestop, Walmart and Target within 5 mins from where i live. I'll just shop there from now on. Extremely bad experience with Amazon this time. I mean sure they made up for it, but the frustration, I was on the phone this morning, like what is going on over there. The chat connected me with a rep, the rep had no idea what was going on in the chat, didn't know where it was with UPS, I was like, uh can you call, which they did. Seems to be getting worse though as they get into more and more things.

Did you ask them to? I was sent a damaged Destiny Ghost edition, called the, right up and they offered me $35 off, I say that isn't good enough as this is extremely limited and I want a new one. Next thing I know I've got $75 back and a $20 gift card. Push the issue.

I traded over $300 dollars worth of goods to them. Two weeks later it showed back up on my doorstep. Verified that the trade in wasn't declined. Talked to a rep to figure out how to send it back and they said to keep my stuff and the $300 in credit.

I'm really happy with them. Haha.
