This actually makes me think we wont reach the level of the trailer. The outside scenes were a generation away from what was shown of Endor in the trailer. The animation wasn't close either.

It means insane downsampling and lighting that won't be possible on the consoles or the majority of PC's.

damn I'm concerned now. All my hype blown away just like that, because

1. no gameplay footage
2. but pre order already up
3. footage looks "too good" to be true

hope I'm wrong, tho

The trailer was pretty and everything, but it didn't really tell me much about the game. I already know what Star Wars looks like, I want to know what playing the game looks like.

Been thinking about the framerate thing for consoles a little bit more and have realized that the results could be positive given the lower max player count, the smaller maps as a result and seemingly a significantly less amount of destruction. (Star Wars battles don't really lend themselves to crazy destruction)

I think they could pull of 60fps and good visual fidelity, especially after getting rid of last gen efforts and focusing solely on the new consoles. I will honestly be happy with anything over 720 on the bone haha.

Even though I'm looking forward to this, I'm not confident in preordering after the BF4 launch. Only way is if there's a big beta that runs smoothly for me.

My most optimistic heart said that maybe the console versions could look like what they showed with a minor upgrade, then DICE said 60fps and the lulz came. Just show the fucking game, don't pull a Ubi please! :(

Looks great but was hoping we'd see gameplay rather than just a cut scene, which the game won't even resemble.

Sorry if this was addressed a long time ago, but I guess this game is totally cutting the prequel trilogy? Republic vs. CIS was always really fun and added a lot to the game's variety. Sad to see that go, and likely any planets/tech exclusive to them. I guess It's a tie-in for the movie, but hopefully they come back in the next game.

Anyway, trailer looks neato, but I'm not going to be hyped until we see gameplay. Especially with the EA/DICE track record. I expected a lot of stuff to change from the original games and for it to feel a lot like Battlefield, so I'm not too upset by the changes we're hearing so far, but I'm still concerned this thing's gonna have terrible DLC, shitty online, or something else like that. I love Battlefront, but I can't get excited until I feel confident it's going to pay off.

Guess I'll wait until E3.

The game looks phenomenal. If this looks "close" to this to 60fps, it will give UC4 a run for its money (which I think will run at 30fps)

Trailer looked nice but in terms of it actually looking like that in-game, I'll believe it when I see it.

Until then, I will continue my time honored tradition of waiting until all the DLC is released before buying the game as I have done with BF3 and BF4 and ME3.

I don't know about anyone else, but I personally can't wait for all the "Was Star War Battlefront downgraded?" threads once we see more of the game closer to launch.

I love my PS4 but there is no way the game will look like that on it. Hell, I doubt it would look like that on the majority of PC's as well.

With that been said, that trailer has got me hyped for this even more.
