Bands and companies license their music to tv shows all the time. Assuming it is licensed (kinda doubtful, but it could be), why would that say anything worse about Square-Enix than about any band who lets their music be used in other media?

Key & Peele licensed the Mass Effect 3 soundtrack of all things. And used multiple tracks.

But lots of international soap operas and similar shows use music illegally. A friend of mine had some of his music played in Korean dramas without his permission.
