I just read the FCBD Divergence issue. Wooooo. Between that and the latest issue of Justice League I can't wait for Darkseid War.

I think I'm going to reread Great Darkness Saga to get proper psyched.

I wanna own a store that looks like a comic store on the outside but when you come in all you see is manga and weeaboo crap all around as J-pop is blasting through the speaker and I watch you with a big creepy smile wearing an idol master shirt.

Guys I had a casualty of the move. :(

The smoke out of the gun on the Harley Quinn B&W broke in one spot by barely even wiggling it to get it out of the gun since it is a separate piece. Like it got stuck in there because I couldn't get the base of the piece out. It will be an easy glue job but shit still sucks.

My issue with this plan is that after reading the Great Darkness Saga, I read The Curse and then I remember Legion of Three Worlds was a pretty cool story, which always leads to my rereading Final Crisis. And Final Crisis being a gateway to a ton of DC/Morrison stuff, I usually end up reading his Batman run or Seven Soldiers.
Just because I saw a Darkseid mention.

There's a hardcore version with Kirby stuff on top of Morrison's.

I just doubledipped on Darkness Saga on comixology rather than dig out my paper copy like a caveman. I daren't read it since I'll need to get the curse afterwards. There's also a shocking lack of collected LSH issues. I'm not paying 1.50 an issue for something I already have on paper. Just collect the damn things. Hell. Sell packs of the individual issues at a discount. SOMETHING. Don't get me started on the stuff that does have trades but is just utterly absent from Comixology. One of the LSH series goes volume 1 and then 3. Missing 2 entirely. They even have the individual issues that make up volume 2 available to buy.

Legion collections, in general, just sort of drift off into fucking garbage town. Oh, you can find all the early stuff fairly easily. You can find almost all of the newer stuff too. But there is a gap from like the late 70s to early 20s that just doesn't exist except in isolated pockets. It's damn annoying.

Poor statues, they only wanted to be in one piece.

I see you have the Poison Ivy statue i've been debating on, do you like it? It might be too light greenish for me ( i dislike all pastel colors) and possibly too lewd.

I liked:

Secret Wars #0
Divergence
All New Avengers

2000AD was legit, but nobody here cares about it I don't think.

I dunno why you keep saying this when a few people here have expressed interest in what 2000 ad stuff they should read and also hellers has talked about the weekly progs a few times and also someone literally mentioned they picked up the fcbd offering yesterday

I'm indifferent towards it. My wife picked that one out.

The comic shop I go to they always play Arctic Monkeys, Arcade Fire, or some classic metal. They play it loud.

Mine plays a bunch of classic rock and video game music and nerdy stuff

Just read first issue of The Power of Shazam and it was pretty great. May have to pick up the rest of the books on sale.

That's funny because this is exactly what I was thinking yesterday when I (re)bought TGDS and The Curse digitally after recommending them here. On the one hand, the two trades added up to less than 30€, which is a steal for so many good issues, but OTOH, they're the only trades available and separate issues are a bit expensive for impulse buys or just trying out stuff.

The broader issue is that CMX apparently curate story arcs according to published trades and older stuff tends to get the short end of the stick when it comes to trades and collections.

But yeah, I wish DC and Marvel were more willing to try aggressive pricing on old stuff. Particularly DC as they don't even have an Unlimited equivalent.

That sounds awful. My store is mostly silent (it's owned by a few deaf dudes), but my old one played like comic book movies and stuff

What? No. Lynyrd Skynyrd is dope.

Mine has a TV where there geeky cartoons and stuff. Yesterday, they were playing Wolverine and the X-Men. Today, it was Transformers: The Movie.

Yeah, mine broke too while I was dusting. I think it's just a very fragile piece.

My only regret was not wearing my Quicksilver costume for Free Comic Book Day. More so when I met a Scarlet Witch cosplayer.

Right then, Mahvel Nites Inhumans finished.

Wouldn't be surprised if they took this thing and just ran with it as far as the future inhuman film is concerned. Has all the elements, introduces all the players, can most likely be condensed into a 120-150min story with oodles of narration, otherwise the "uneasy lies the head that wears the crown" deal would be far too obscure to get. Kinda necessary, given how stoic BB is.

But really, fuck maximus, and fuck black bolt too.

Also that "for evolution!" phrase is terrible.

there is a super interesting little story in Original Sins #2 about some woman going to Black Knight's apartment because she was reseaching how various Black Knights throughout history get basically addicted to the Ebon Blade and lose their minds and either die or kill themselves. Hes outside his apartment saying he needs help and he's like "im fine fuck off" and at the end you see him standing there in his underwear, sword pointed at the door with slashes all over the apartment.

did they ever do anything with that? I would totally read that story. He randomly shows up in Avengers World at around the same time leading some team of euro heroes and he seems fine there

I can't believe nobody reads 2000AD

Sometimes I forget who reads what.

I've actually wanted to read some Dredd for a while. Anything you'd recommend? Where to start? Whats the ongoing?

I would absolutely get the case files off of Amazon. My preference is Case File 3 and onward, but the best part is that you can start almost anywhere because of how it's written.

I hate the IDW stuff.
