The Internet’s angry at something new every day. With P.T., there’s a good god damn reason.

Look, I don’t give a shit that Konami and Hideo Kojima are having a spat. I care about Konami burying an amazing piece of gaming history, and players not having any way to stop them.

Here’s how I feel right now:

In the same week, we’ve seen what’s both amazing and upsetting about the advent of digital distribution. The Adventures of Tron Bonne, a rare Mega Man spin-off for the PS One, was regularly going for more than $200 on eBay. Now, it’s available on PlayStation Network for $6. P.T., one of the best horror games of all-time, is now longer available. Period. It’s totally gone.

A demo that does horror better then 95% of horror games in the last few years? I have played a shit ton of horror games and nothing unnerved me more then PT.

Good on Kotaku for calling out the blatant bullshit. Seriously considering degrading my LE preorder of MGSV to a used regular copy. After that it'll be quite easy to not buy the zero traditional non-soccer games they make after that.

This is very true, but the problem is that even if the media focus here popped up a few years ago, they are still a massive corporation who was probably already planning to downsize. So it wouldn't have mattered anyway. Fans of IPs that weren't PES or MGS have been dealing with Konami's attitude problems toward their franchises for years now, and nothing ever changed.

I hate to beat a dead horse, but the Silent Hill HD Collection really is the defining "we don't care" moment, as they farmed out to a lesser experienced team, supposedly lost the source code (Talent like Bluepoint could've back-engineered the PS2 discs I believe), didn't really bother to fix it, and largely sent it out to die. If they're willing to do that to two of the best rated horror games of all time, that's pretty much it.

And it still managed like a 70 on Metacritic from site reviews, because I doubt most reviewers really bothered to play it for more than like an hour. Too little too late to complain about Konami now.

Why would that Del Toro thing be bad? Plenty of people noted that Del Toro's had bad luck with getting games (and even dream film projects) going in the past few years.

He also says he doesn't give a shit they're fighting, he doesn't provide any judgement on Kojima.
