Ah, gotcha. Thanks.

In other news, I've just gotten started on Witcher 2, and this might sound weird just coming from the first game, but the combat feels so loose 'n janky. Do Geralt's swings become tighter/sharper as you progress through your skill tree? 'cause I'm wondering if Wild Hunt's going to feel similar. >_<

No, they don't get sharper, but they did correct that in Witcher 3.

Hrrmm... I'll trudge through it. :/ Are there any mods for stuff like this for the PC version? I purchased it yesterday, even though I had no intention of trying to play through it on my Surface Pro 2; it was only three bucks.

There's a pretty extensive combat rebalance mod that was hacked together by one of CDPR's employees. It was hard to get used to for me, but maybe you're early enough in the game that it wouldn't be a bad adjustment

Ok, this image is actually managing to hype me up even more.

What a great shot.

Isn't that mod made by CDPR dev who is lead designer in TW3's combat?

Both TW1 and TW2 had a combat rebalance mod made by the lead (combat?) designer, yeah. I've only tried the TW1 rebalance mod, but it did wonders to improve how the game played. Highly recommended.

Speaking of those mods... I tried out the one for TW2 yesterday and it seemed to make the game way too easy. I killed Letho on Normal in the first fight in like 2 hits. When I had to fight Saskia as Henselt, I beat her in 1 hit. I uninstalled the mod after the fight with Saskia.

The animations are cool and all but I don't like how pressing E just does a Quen absorb thing.

I believe he was a fan who did the FCR mod for Witcher and then in the middle of doing the same for TW2 he got picked up by CDPR who was impressed with his work. I don't know if he's actually the lead combat designer though.

Hey CDPR, wanna take more money from me? Let me play as Yennefer in a DLC.

I don't care how much you charge for it.

Oh wow, I had no idea. You're totally right; Andrzej “Flash’ Kwiatkowski made the Witcher 1's combat reblanace mod as part of the Polish modding team Ifrit.

Then, for the Witcher 2,

Andrzej 'Flash' Kwiatkowski, who was the author of the extremely popular Full Combat Rebalnce mod for the original Wticher, is now a game designer for CD Projekt Red and has developed a sequel for the mod, Full Combat Rebalance 2, due out on the 20th of this month. This mod is a whopping eight gigabytes (to put that into foucus, The Witcher: Director's Cut is 8.5 gigabytes) with a whole slew of changes, tweaks, and fixes and reason enough for me to reinstall the game come June 20th. You can find the whole changelog here: http://www.dsogaming.com/news/the-w...mes-out-june-20th-massive-changelog-revealed/. The guys at CD Prjoekt Red have really out done themselves this time, I eagerly anticipate the next game in the series, The Witcher 3: The Wild Hunt.

The More You Know™

As I play this I'm going to try my best to not kill monsters unless I have a quest for them. Geralt isn't one to do something for free. Also I will try to avoid killing humans whenever possible. Granted, I doubt I will succeed in either of these as it diverges from the books pretty greatly in these areas, but still.
