I'm pretty sure not that many people are really looking forward to anything to do with Nintendogs. Well, expect for my wife and probably yours as well. She wants a new Nintendogs and she wants it real bad. She rarely ever get excited about a new game coming out, but she really wants Pokemon Gold & Silver. The whole idea of the PokeWalker has been getting her wondering when this thing will hit stateside.

The Pokewalker turns your steps into various things in the new Pokemon Gold & Silver (in case you didn't already know)

She wants to see this same sort of thing used with a new Nintendogs. She wants to play little mini games with her dogs and would even like to see it look like a bone. it of course could also count your steps as if you were to be taking your 'dog' for a walk. That would be a great feature. The game sold millions of copies..isn't it time they revisit it?

What else would you like to see in the game?

An online leaderboard for the top breeders would be nice. Hopefully it could even use the same feature as Personal Trainer: Walking and allow everyone to walk to the moon / other planets.

sounds like a good idea... there are a couple of threads about this type of hybrid games and future consoles...

for example a hybrid wii/dsi/pedometer nintendogs game would have this layers:

on the pedometer you just walk your dog and play micro games

on the dsi you play an enhanced nindogs game

on the wii you would play social games , either local multiplayer or online.

I admit.. I think I do want another Nintendogs. I somehow miss playing it. I know after playing it again for 5 minutes, though, I'll remember why I only played for no longer than an hour in the first place.

I think it's a really good idea. Since it would kinda need wifi to take the dog from and to the DS, it could also have the same walking option as the old ds that would alert you if other people with their dog walker were near by. Even saving a few items on it to trade with people you meet.

This and Wii Music are the only titles in Nintendo's new casual gaming development that hasn't seen a sequel yet (a true one). Granted, Wii Music came out only last year and wasn't as much a smash hit like everything else, but there's no excuse for Nintendogs!
