The thing that worries me is that their are NO LEAKS because their is NOTHING EXCITING to actually leak...I mean...that can't be true...I hope.

The list above contains games ranging from the nearly impossible to the somewhat likely / already announced but barely shown. The reason to be hyped is because who knows what will show up during these press conferences. For shits sake we had a new PHANTOM DUST game get announced not long back...anything is possible!

It's E3. There's always something you're not going to expect. Only reason there aren't any leaks is because companies have been better about keeping them from slipping out.

Instead of having leaks, it seems everyone is just announcing their games before E3. X-Com, Need for Speed and Fallout 4 so far. Lets see who else spoils the surprise.

The thing is, for many years now, most games have been announced, teased or "leaked" starting about a month before E3.
Only Nintendo has most of the time, been the one that waited until E3, before announcing new games.

Ubisoft has in recent years made surprise announcements with new IPs, Watch Dogs and The Division comes to mind.
Other than that, most big games gets announced close to E3 and not at E3.

This year, there might be something from Bethesda I thought, but it seems they are announcing their games one by one. Would be nice if they saved something to E3.

Anyway, my expectations going into this E3 has been that, E3 starts 1 month before the pressconferenses. Expecting more announcements before E3 starts btw.
At E3: maybe something from Nintendo, one surprise announcement from Ubisoft and gameplay from newly announced games like Doom, Fallout 4, XCOM 2, Deus Ex: MD, Mirrors Edge, Battlefront, etc.
Everything else is just bonus.

Don´t get me wrong I want to surprised at E3, but those days seem to be long gone, as companies don´t want to share spotlight with their big announcements.

I'm not gonna say much about this, but. I witness this dude messing around with vivek on Twitter. Said somethings about a Sony *new* announcement (or leak, which I don't want) of a game on the 8th. I'm assuming he's lying about it but if its true, it'll just be bonus to my anticipation to E3.

2 more weeks y'all.

No CBOAT, Not NTKRNL, No Avatar Hype trains, No Movie clips with modified subs. No Mass banning, No "junior member" shills.

This a a boring E3 season

I mean its possible the resolution was changed in the day 1 patch

I miss those. And juniors betting their accounts.

I say let's keep it that way. Too many people don't have the patience to be surprised these days. I shouldn't have to dodge spoilers for E3 for fucks sake.

I have to disagree with OP…

We almost know, or have information/clues, for most of the AAA games that are going to be announced on E3, except maybe two or three titles that probably will not launch on the next 6 months…

To be honest the only press conference that I am most excited for is the Bethesda one, especially if tomorrow we get a good teaser for the next Fallout game and I really want to see what they did with Doom 4 – I had enough of Call of Duty clones (even the mighty Halo fell in this design trap) and Wolfenstein The New Order was a great shooter (as the Metro shooters)…

What I really want to see in this year’s E3 is games with realistic/true release dates (this is the delay generation, I cannot forget that), games that don’t need five patches after launch to function properly (another great issue I have with current gen) and games that for once deliver on their promises!

If someone goes to read about winter 2013 game releases, he can easily guess some of the games that will get a sequel this year…

I realistically don’t expect any publisher to announce a new AAA IP that will launch on Sept-Dec 2015 period and I speak about the big five (Sony, MS, EA, Activision, Ubisoft and Bethesda)…

All I expect are sequels…

The announcement that I am most excited about, and will not happen on E3, is the next game from Rockstar – they always give us one title per year and we still don’t know what game they will release this year.

My memory is lacking regarding previous E3, but has there been any "super important" E3 announcement leaked beforehand? I mean we always get leaks from stuff shown at E3, but what about the most important announcements to be had?

I miss the leaks, builds the HYPE Train before the inevitable derail.

Me too; that pre-E3 hype is what keeps me feeling alive (to zombify again afterwards due to disappointment)!

Surprises, like quietness and even boredom, are the type of things in life that are becoming more and more rare but which we need more than we'd think to keep sane and keep any semblance of youthful thinking. Quite a shame that the AAA game industry is slowly but surely taking them away from us due to its crippling addiction to growth and sales.

No leaks? Where have you been? :p

To be fair, everyone is covering their asses by announcing the games early. It's actually kinda disappointing, I would prefer more surprises at E3.

That list is beyond dumb. Alan Wake 2? Already debunked. Sunset Overdrive 2 announced, just a little over half a year after the first game released? No way. New Star Ocean game? Ok, we already know about Star Ocean 5.

I'm not expecting much. With delays and franchises there's not much to show between now and E3 2016 that we don't already know or suspect will be coming. Even Nintendo I'm expecting a quiet year from. They've just popped a mini direct when they didn't need to. No mainline Pokemon likely this year.

Well, there will be some indie games out of no where, but team of four people generally don't leak.

I know an indie team who just had exclusivity bought up by one of the big three and even they're not sure if they'll be at E3. They were just told "send us footage of the game and we may play you on stage".

Focus groups didn't like leaks. So no leaks.

Plus, the amount of console games compared to 10 years ago is just wayyyy lower. No more Rare working on 4 games at once.

It seems that every year we get something pretty juicy from the big 3 leading up to the press conferences, this year that's not the case so far. Everyone has been pretty good about controlling the flow of information and we haven't been able to catch a whiff of anything.

What's going on?

We are getting the usual bullshit "leaks" that are obviously made up by some websites for hits but nothing from a truly trusted source. Not yet.

Will the floodgates ever open this year? Do you think this will be the norm going forward?

Do you guys prefer this over conference spoiling leaks?

Reveals are the new leaks.

E3 is always so much more disappointing than the pre-release hype makes it out to be. Insiders hype-mongering and promising megatons coupled with their dumb winking faces ;) after their posts, in the end maybe one or two kind of interesting big games come out of the show in between dick measuring contests by the manufacturers. Maybe this year it'll be the opposite, no insiders and more actual delivering of announcements.
