I just want a release date, if they've got box art nailed down already could it possibly be this year? I may drop dead from happyness if that happens and Idc wtf it ends up looking like, if its as massive and interesting as the previous 2 Fallout games I'll play it for YEARS

Most of the info about it over hte last couple of years, including mentions of a behind closed doors e3 demo suggest Oct/Nov 2015.

If this is idtech5...would it be 1080p 60fps on consoles like Wolfenstein?

Considering Fallout is going to be a huge sandbox/open world and Wolfenstein is essentially a corridor shooter i highly doubt it. Maybe inside locations? I just don't see the wasteland running at 1080/60

Yep, probably it was cross gen until few months ago.

To all these people complaining about the complaints, the graphics are underwhelming in major areas, that's a fact.

Considering the fact there's been maybe 5 pictures released, I don't think you can say that it's a fact. It's your opinion but hey you are allowed to be wrong.

Hopefully FO4 is more like NV than FO3. I played the crap out of NV, and beat FO3 though I didn't explore it nearly as much - the ending just sorta sucked the interest out of me.

Graphics aren't impressive, but given how much people have managed to mod in with FO3/NV, and how easily I tend to get 'lost' in these game worlds (and my rather high tolerance for mediocre graphics), that's not a huge deal to me. Hell, I just finally finished Indigo Prophecy, and that game looked bleh even for a 2005 game, and I got over that pretty easily (though not so easily over the terrible story and 'gameplay').

It's half what the PS4's is. It doesn't seem like good business sense to release DLC late on the, by far, market leading console. Unless the money MS is offering is really good.

I serious doubt it will decrease the sales, the "marketing deal" effect from what i see is pretty small, only difference is just a console may get DLC earlier.

No, bombs dropped in 2077. The Fallout universe diverged from ours somewhere in the early 50's/60's. In that universe, apparently they didn't feel the need to demolish the square.

It took me a while to play enough of Skyrim to determine they cut too many corners in the game design department.

You can't make those kind of determinations 5 hours into an open world game.

100 hours is a little long to arrive at that conclusion, but whatever. I also put many hours into vanilla Diablo 3 spinning on the broken item hamster wheel before I realized the game was garbage, I don't point to the 50 hours I stuck with it and go "MONEY WELL SPENT!" when I can point to years of Diablo 2 in high school that brought me exponentially more enjoyment.
