E3 2015 Predictions & Discussion thread

Xbox definitely has the best AAA Holiday lineup this year. I still don't understand why people argue about that. First brand new Halo game since 2012. Sequel to the best Tomb raider ever. A new Fable game. GoW Collection. And if that wasn't enough, there will be a sequel to the best racing stimulator this generation, Forza 6.

Oh boy. Some would argue that it is only Tomb Raider in name. Much of what made TR, TR, has been removed for the most part.

The GoW collection is only the 1st game. I may have read the rumors/leaks wrong though.

In reality, it doesn't matter who has the strongest holiday lineup. It matters who has the most attractive platform. Narratives are nice and all, but when it all comes down to it, the sales will of a console are not solely determined by some mystical holiday lineup.

Plus whatever unannounced surprises left in store for E3

Who's arguing that? That doesn't mean it will have a better E3, though...

Like who?

Took me awhile to find this

@GripGames: Really looking forward to next month as we will unveil next big project at Microsoft's #E32015 Press Conference. Stay tuned... @janctw

The tweet has since been removed. The other game I was thinking of was the game from Toylogic, but that's apparently being shown at MS booth. Although I guess it could be at their conference as well.

I am just curious what else Bethesda has for E3
as they have announced Doom and Fallout 4
Pete said on twitter ''you anit seen nothing yet'' referring to E3
that might be Fallout 4 he is referring to

the reason I bring this up
is this
http://store.bethsoft.com/collectibles/statues/dragonborn-life-size-bust-deposit.html
which come out Q2 2016
why this when Skyrim came out in 2011?

DOOM
Fallout 4
Battlecry
Dishonored 2
The Elder Scrolls Online - First Big Expansion
Potentially a Skyrim remaster to keep single player TES fans happy until TES6: Redguard in 2018.

Regarding the statue, the game sold over 20 million copies. Fallout 3, Oblivion, even Morrowind, are games that continue to sell well to this day. Great games are timeless, and there will always be fans willing to spend on quality merchandise from games that mean a lot to them. I'm not a fan of that Dragonborn bust, but their Daedric statues have been pretty awesome.

Ori should be considered (if people count No Man's Sky for PlayStation).

State of Decay should be considered (if people count God of War 3 for PlayStation).

I'd also make a case for the expandalone Forza Horizon Fast & Furious tie-in. It did have new content, it had achievements, and not being facetious, but it lasted longer than a lot of indie's I've played.

Then Disgaea 5, Persona 5, Nobunaga's Ambition, Rime, The Tomorrow Children and Dragon Quest Heroes should also be considered.

Just saying.

Is there anyone arguing that at all?

There might be people saying they would rather play Witness, Rime, No Man's Sky and Tearaway than those games. I certainly would. But I don't think there's a person on earth who would argue that MS doesn't have the most viable games for the general public.

I'm talking about relativity, and common consciousness of the mainstream gamers. To each his own liking and taste in games. But I'm just saying Microsoft dropped all their guns this Holidays, and deserve a thumb up for that.

Well it seemed so the past two pages of the thread. But agreed, no body will have a better E3, before E3 actually happens.

The previous few pages is exactly why I would prefer dedicated threads for the conferences of the Big 3. Avoids a lot of list wars and bullshit.

This is absolutely not true. The unified UI - what literally brings the whole package together was developed completely in-house. Under the hood this includes major systems such as campaign playlists, save file management, campaign management, user content management, and matchmaking systems, including both dedicated server and P2P code. And of course the UI for all these systems. They also completely manage multiplayer playlists and their settings in-house as well.

That said, the team the developed the universal UI and put the games disparate pieces together is a relatively small side-team that largely did not overlap with the Halo 5 Guardians team (who is working off of completely different multiplayer code on all levels, so the matchmaking issues shouldn't be present). Even beyond that its issues are irrelevant to H5G, as they largely stem from an apparently all to brief dev. cycle, no less than four developers working on the project at once, and the sheer complexity of the project mixing together to form a major clusterfuck.

Nope.

Can someone hype me, as someone who has never played a Persona game and knows literally nothing about it other than it's a JRPG with schoolkids, up for Persona 5?

People talk about the series like it's the second coming of video game christ.

Thats enough hype for now

Tried it before. Everything's fine and dandy until someone starts a hype train. Things go downhill quickly from there. At least we're having discussion here instead of mindless 'I'd like a ticket for the train!' posts.

Okay? There are people who hate Uncharted too. Why is that relevant to the topic?

I didn't said that people don't like Tomb Rider. The first guy stated that it wasn't Tomb Rider anymore and you asked how would that make the game bad. People hate changes. So fans didn't like it so much as a Tomb Rider game.

All these predictions about Verendus

Yea right, he's not going to be the CEO idk why you'd pen him as Andrew House or anybody. There's a great number of people in these companies, plenty could be doing this bit of teasing.

Nameless cog somewhere in the machine, probably marketing or somewhere where he has the authority to do his little teases.

Damn.... we're all nameless cogs breh. It's called the anonymity of the interwebs.

I like it like this.

We have the Sony TLG, FF7, Agent, Crash etc circle jerk. Followed by good healthy dose of MS is going to be bring it. Few come in and say that they are oddly excited about EA and SE. Then someone mentions Nintendo, followed by couple of posts for Star Fox and Metriod, and people stare at each other awkwardly. Then we go back to circle jerk and cycle repeats.

Besides we would miss out on hilarious gaming_noob's switcheroo from "MS is quiet, they must be confident" to "MS is vocal on Twitter, they must be confident".

But they deserve thump down since start of 2015 and until October. But media doesn't care about that. ONLY Holidays count.

Separate threads are just people patting their favorite company on the back and posting train pictures over and over and over and over. I would take list wars (which have barely happened if at all) over that.

Two ways of looking at it.

I'd rather not Sony hold titles like Bloodborne, Tearaway and Until Dawn until the Fall Season just so they can drop the bombs.

Alot of subjective 'bests' in there.
