How is the image quality on Ps4 ? Is there alot of shimmering on the courses?

Image quality is really good if you ask me...but you do have to deal with the "ghosting."

If you have not seen it, its a temporal AA solution that according to one of the developers is part of the reason the PS4 version has such little shimmering...but it introduces a funky double image that drives some people nuts...

We've been told that in the next patch that not only have they optimized the effect (hopefully keeping the pluses, but losing the ghosting), but they will also be introducing a slider so that we can fine tune the effect, or turn it all the way off

Thanks for the info; I suppose I'll wait for the patch & check back.

The Racing Icons Car Pack (9.8 MB) is up here in the U.S. & A XB1 store for $3.49:

Bentley Speed 8
Bentley Continental GT3
BMW V12 LMR
McLaren F1 GTR Long Tail
Mercedes-Benz CLK LM

That's a very reasonable price for some very formidable racing hardware. Cheers, SMS.

It's mixed for me, experienced way too much motion blur/doubling of images while racing(no not just during replays), got put off by the ghosting, headache inducing! Is there an ETA on a fix for this problem?p

Yep, it blows :(

Next patch due in "about a week and a half"
http://forum.projectcarsgame.com/sh...-Release-notes&p=972394&viewfull=1#post972394

Apprently includes:
* PS4 - Anisotropic filtering has been increased to help reduce blurry textures.
* PS4 - Temporal anti-aliasing has been further optimized. This reduces the ghosting effect and additionaly gives the player full control via a slider to tweak the resulting image according to personal preference.
* PS4 - All shaders have been rebuilt using new shader compiler, giving a significant performance boost in some areas.
* PS4 - CPU performance gains due to new more aggressive code optimisations.

Some are hoping for Logitech G25/27 support but I think that's a while away yet, if at all. It's too bad because I reckon I personally have about 20-30 friends that would immediately pick up a PS4 and Pcars should that happen.

Long time wmd member, such a let down the execution of this game, they had way to many wmd members licking their arses that they stopped looking at the game objectively, heaps of issues and canned features.

The published patch list isn't complete as it contains at least one item under NDA, which popular opinion theorises is Logitech support.

If one was of suspicious nature, one could raise an eyebrow that the delayed patch release date is now set to coincide with Logitech's probable announcement of the G29 and PS4 support at E3.

So looks like G29 announcement must be very soon. But if the €399 price is correct that's about €70 more than a T300RS. For something that's basically a G27 minus a shifter :/

G25/27 support or bust.

70 Euros more for a gear based FFB wheel? If that price is correct it's going to be dead in the water.

Well there's no way you are getting all those models, textures, interiors and sound on less than a floppy disk, so it has to be.

Even so, it's a pretty cracking pack.

The Merc CLK sounds like the dogs of hell, the F1 is a really great drive, and the Bentley GT3 is brutal.

Not overly keen on the BMW LMP, bit boring and too much understeer with the default tune, and the Speed 8 seems a bit.....tame?

Agreed, but that may just be Logitech's RRP which is generally not representative of what they're actually sold for in the market.

According the Logitech's AU website a G27 RRP is $580AUD, but in reality they're selling new for about $300AUD.

Man alive, the F1 GTR is a beast. I'm no hot shoe, but my first time out on Spa I ran a 2:10.5 with the default setup, (good enough for #8 overall on the XB1 leaderboard). It would seem the Zonda R's days atop the GT rankings are numbered.

Do the DLC cars integrate properly into career races? Will I race against the Bentley in GT3 races?

Good to hear. Forza 3 & 4 didn't manage it. Not sure about 5.

Hmmm, definitely in 5, I thought it did in 4 also?

Edit :

About career integration, for invitationals, I'd imagine the car select screen will filter the cars and the new ones would be able to be selected.

However, for main career races, it would rely on the game offering a drive in the new cars with the contract email, so that might not be implemented

Apparently, the actual models were complete and released on disc, but the physics, set-ups etc were still being worked on. That's what you get in the 1mb download.

So the limited edition cars are finally available for purchase? Sweet. :) Gonna add them to my cart later on, because I bought the standard edition.

Ruapuna? Is this the first time that track has ever been in a racing game?? I live just down the road from there, literally the last track I expected as DLC for this game. Awesome!

Got any photos? Interested in elevation change and surrounding scenery.

Was probably an addon for rFactor somewhere down the line, seem to remember driving it in something?, maybe GT Legends? or GTR?

Can you use the DLC cars in career mode? Conflicting reports on the Steam forums and elsewhere on the internet.

It's £1.99 in the UK... Maybe they could give some hints to iRacing about how to price content properly.
What about each time a developer releases a car pack for free? Or what about GT and Forza, which already have many more cars to choose from in the base game? Should they be giving hints to SMS about how to price content properly?
