I realized the Black one is Perceval and the Pink one is probably Cecilia. At first I wasn't sure but if you pull up the characters on FE Wiki all the colors match up.

I still find it ridiculous that clone characters being added as DLC are the same price as the original characters, despite them admitting themselves that clones are far easier to create.

Seriously, I love the inclusion of Ryu, it's clever, he looks fun to play as, and it's a cool crossover.

Roy on the other hand? fucking WHY. We have Fire Emblem characters out of the whazoo already, AND he's a clone, and he's boring as fuck anyway AND there is already a character called Roy in the game.
It just boggles my mind as to why anyone would want this, outside of nostalgia.

THIS! I just don't understand this logic at all. Literally the first character ever in Smash I've thought this way about. He's pointless, unless they drastically changed his moveset, which they more than likely didn't. Also it kind of pisses me off that DLC characters don't have customs at all.

If we're going by important and iconic, how do you explain characters like Dark Pit and Wii Fit Trainer? Nobody was clamoring for their inclusion.

There are already plenty of Fire Emblem characters in Smash 4, so Roy is a poor addition to the roster. On top of that, he's a clone. And Ryu, like Snake and Sonic, has nothing to do with Nintendo. I don't mind him, but Wonder Red and Bayonetta would be perfect fits for Smash Bros. They both have dynamic stylish fighting styles and strong character designs. They'd be more exciting choices than Blandon McPunch, that's for sure.

I'd say Wolf is the last logical character that the Smash team would bring back willingly. Ice Climbers won't happen because of Sakurai wanting both versions having the same characters. Young Link is redundant. No one wants Pichu. I doubt Squirtle or Ivysaur will come back due to the "Too many reps" case. Even if Wolf doesn't come back normally, he has a very good chance in the Smash Ballot.

I don't think we need to worry about that for anyone that didn't originate in that game. (No robo-Ike thank goodness.)

This Smash design is a mix of Roy's Awakening design and his original one. His armor is the original and he also has short sleeves like in the original, but many other elements of his design come from Awakening, like the white segment in the middle of his shirt and the long boots (although they've been redesigned). His belt and arm armor are straight out of Awakening's redesign too without changes.

When did I ever say I wanted anything for free? I WON'T be buying Roy because there are already two characters that (presumably) play just like him. Just like you have the right to be excited I have the right to be disappointed.

Never said I wanted it for free, but I was quite excited about the prospect of DLC fighters in Smash, only to find Mewtwo with no customs, the return of Lucas who could have easily been in the main game, and a completely boring pointless returning character.

Sorry but i'm allowed to have my opinion that the DLC has sucked so far (with the exception of Ryu who looks interesting)

The GameCube had Capcom vs SNK 2, which is pretty much a Street Fighter game.

Still, outside of consoles, the 3DS had SSFIV as one of its biggest launch titles and Ryu is also appearing in the Nintendo exclusive Project X Zone games.
