Pretty nice looking upgrade imo. Although I'm sure some people aren't going to like that they've brightened up certain areas of the game. What do you guys think?

Everything is more distinguishable, IMO.

Particularly visible in the last shot, where the old version was brown on brown, the added colour actually helps with the depth of the scenery. Big improvement.

I like the color palette of the original. It's seem to more Gears atmosphere to me vs the remaster.

The new one could be copy/paste from most modern games. Lost a bit of uniqueness.

Loving how The Coalition is (and People Can Fly as well) keeping getting away from the roided out physiques of the characters. Always hated that aspect of the art.

I actually love how it looks now but it'd be cool if you could switch back to the original graphics like you can in the Halo Anniversary games. Not a big deal if you can't though.

$60 for this is really pushing it though. Disappointed big time with the price.

It was the butt of literally every brown graphics joke from 2007-2009 (especially with Uncharted being teased for playing like Gears with its cover system, and then Uncharted including a "next-gen" brown filter).

This is an improvement. It's like we're seeing the world without muddy cataracts for the first time.

It worked for Gears though at the time. It just got overdone by other games wanting to copy it's success.

I still like the 360 version.. I know it's an upgrade but the gritty look on the 360 gives it a better atmosphere,.
