Uhh, really wanted one. Would of gotten it if it was sub $100.

That's fine. Still buying one. Those extra paddles are going to be crucial for games like Elite Dangerous.

Warzone looks dope. Can't fucking wait.

Warzone looks so mint. I'm stoked.

All of those features on a SCUF controller with sets of alternate sticks and a case would be well over $200, so they are coming in under that appropriately IMO

Yep. They achieve two things: providing an officially premium handset backed by their own Xbox technical support teams, and they undercut all of the 3rd party pro controller folks by a hefty sum.

Looks like they put the designers of H4 Infinity MP in their own little crazy-corner and let them go nuts for this new mode. I'm okay with that, looks like casual fun, and we already know arena is solid and fair from the beta.

As for Warzone, it just looks like there's too much going on to be able to manage the battlefield. Halo 4's problems were more than just surface issues. Halo 4's global ordnance issues weren't just "it's too random", it was because players weren't able to predict what the opponent had or could have. From the E3 conference, plus the IGN stream, Warzone looks to have the "I don't know what my opponent could be doing" which is problematic. In addition to that, the way the numbers work out for kill times and such means that if a team of 12 goes up against randoms(which I can almost guarantee will happen), it will be even more of an uncontrollable situation than BTB already is.

Warzone is a mode for BKs designed by the King of the BK Lounge himself...and I don't see it as problematic at all. We know we have an Arena component already there- we played a Beta of it. Warzone is random and messy by design, because even morons can win at Bingo.

This is a far better attempt at casualizing the game than fucking Infinity, because it's obviously a distinct mode, and leaves plenty of room for the classic-ish multiplayer.

Story wise campaign looked awesome, Dat guardian. Scripting was boring but its e3 so expected.

Not sure if I'm feeling that covenant bruteshot weapon.

Drop ships new doors look awesome.

Warzone, a halo fps moba with cs elements... Definitely has potential.

You guys are high as shit, fighting on the ocean floor with some Moses energy sheilds holding 200 ft tall waves back right underneath a huge space shuttle??hnnnnnnnnnnng

Super curious about forge/firefight/theatre, hope they are all upgraded atleast moderately.

Fallout 4 looks badass, mods, building shit, oh lawd. Even the mobile game looks cool.

Tomb raider-lol

Gears, fable, forza-meh

Some of those Indy games looked interesting.

New controller $150? fukin lol

So with Chief being on board the Guardian and having supposedly been "called" by the Forerunners, what's the chance the Chief is the one fucking shit up in the outer colonies? :p

Couldn't have said it better myself. Could be a fun distraction and I'm glad the games compartmentalized.

The more people it attracts the better. I'll personally spend some time in Warzone but most of my time will be in regular BtB and Arena. I'm glad it's separate.

Doesn't this run the risk of splitting the player base though? A player base already in decline to boot.

Most custom controllers are $200+. This is a fairly reasonable price.
The custom controllers are handmade to order by a third party that has to pay the full retail price of the original controller. Not to mention the fact that they're grossly overpriced as well.

Even back at launch when economy of scale hadn't kicked in, the Xbox 360 wireless controller only cost about $10 to manufacture. It was overpriced as well, but the margin was necessary to offset the large loss that they were taking on the console itself.

Assuming that none of their existing manufacturing chain was reusable and that somehow the new controller costs five times as much to manufacture, that's still a gigantic profit margin. It's not like the console itself isn't profitable now, either.

It's grossly overpriced and exploiting the market, plain and simple. The fact that they've put the remappable buttons behind an artificial software barrier really evidences that.

Frank was actually telling the truth about middling. I'm in agreement. Nothing about that campaign demo had me excited beyond the visuals. I absolutely loathe the scripted crap. It feels cheap and takes away from what makes campaign fun in the first place, like Karl said.

I had a feeling that's what the new mode would be. I'd like to try it before I pass judgment on it, but now the map count doesn't seem so big seeing as how they're broken down over several modes, no cross play. Breakout, Arena, Warzone etc.

What's your take on everything today thus far Green?

Any chance of pulling you away from Destiny 24/7, if only for a little while? :p

I'm in on Destiny for 10 years, likely.

As for Halo 5, campaign stuff was pretty but not that interesting just yet - way too scripted for my tastes. I will be buying it Day 1 for the story though.

Multiplayer I'm not convinced yet, will have to see the mode in action later today. Looks fun, though, as a fan of BTB Halo. I'm more interested in 8v8 CTF, though.

Good Halo 5 campaign gameplay. It was beautiful, it seems huge (the Guardian!!), and I liked the orders given by Locke (splitting the team in two parts for two ways), but I was hoping for something more "sandbox". The fast trailer at the end was way more interesting.

Warzone may be the best Halo mod yet. I'm eager to experience it. Now.
