Gravity Rush sequel (Team Gravity Project) M.I.A at E3

When was the teaser confirmed to be for a sequel?

Anyways, if it is a sequel, I hope it is for PS4, since I have no plans of buying a Vita again. Isn't the original being released for the PS4 in the future?

then you gotta wait for a while more...
Sony is trying to make everyone forget the Vita (as much as making private/unlisting Vita videos on YouTube - ironically, some of their highest viewed videos)...

probably to prevent an outrage or outburst...

so just wait, PS4 fans, just wait a while more.

[the right time] is when the Vita is out of sight, out of mind

I would have been happy to see them cut out Hitman, Assassins Creed and Disney Infinity 3, personally.

Gotta pimp dose '3rd-party marketing deals.'

Realities aside, it's actually a "par-for-course" showing for Sony WWS at E3 this year, as per their usual E3 output:

E3 2014:
Bloodborne
LBP3
Ratchet & Clank

E3 2015:
TLG
Horizon
dreams

It would be nice to see more first-party stuff, but it's also not like Shu to have too many first-party reveals at E3.

I just finished Gravity Rush and it left so many things unanswered but I don't have a PS4 so I'm sad that it's probably not coming to the Vita. :(

I just hope when the game finally comes out of hiding Kat doesn't lose her dark skin.

E3 really isn't the time for it.

Sony have a lot of Japanese games on the go and some brilliant partnerships. TGS should actually be genuinely interesting for most gamers this year.

Gravity Rush on the PS4 could be absolutely spectacular. It was already exhilarating on the Vita. I hope they show it again soon.

I just hope whatever they're working on is actually Gravity Rush 2 and not some reboot/reimagining/remake. The fact that a remaster of the first game is apparently in the works bodes well on that front.

I'm just glad that it exists and hope we see it this year. Sony has many conferences that they could show it at.

I wish M.I.A was at E3 instead of derulo

Yo, what was up with that live performance???... I know singing live will be different from in the studio, but that left me shaken.

Just thinking about that performance makes my head hurt. It was just awful in so many ways.

doubt they'll do that again. Siren Blood Curse was a "reimagining" of Siren 1 because they tried to make it appeal more for the western market. Gravity Rush don't need that really.

Projects Shu teased on the Kinda Funny interview :

Japan Studio #1 : "current producing title he's very excited about" <- unannounced external development project?
Japan Studio #2 : "New Gravity Project" (playable for some time already, but waiting for right time to unveil)
Bend : "playable"
Quantic Dream : "playable"
Sucker Punch : "playable"
Yup, Shu just confirmed 5 games in that interview if you were paying attention. Beyond guy was getting so jelly, very funny. And looks like much to look forward to in Paris and TGS. MS isn't slacking either with Gamescon.

My favorite "superhero" game. I'm hoping the sequel is more of the same, just a tad better combat that focus more on gravity powers.

What I like about his "confirmation" of said 5 games, was that he did those while also deflecting the question about Sony Santa Monica's unannounced coughnewgowcough game.

I'm probably reading between the lines too much, but that he deflected the line of questioning (of an internal studio), but instead acknowledged other games makes me wonder if those games are actually closer to a reveal than SSM's game.

Which is crazy, since Sucker Punch released a game last year. =/

Guys, think about it. They didn't show it at E3. What don't Sony want to acknowledge exists at E3? Vita. Sony doesn't show Vita games at E3. SCEA feels it hurts their image. So what does this mean? Well a perfectly logical conclusion to come to is that this confirms that the game is still in development for Vita, and isn't now tbe PS4 exclusive people think it is. Expect the game to be shown at TGS or PSX.

Yeah, but Sucker Punch I'm sure is using the same engine, and I think they want to catch up to ND this gen. I expect 4-5 titles from them on PS4. 2 full blow Infamous games and standalone DLC, and one new IP or return to Sly. They have a franchise under there belt IMO, all Infamous needs is the bigger/better/greater treatment to be another jewel in Sony's WWS.

Interesting in Santa Monica too after all the turmoil, I wish it turned out more of a happy ending like TLG lol. Whatever happened there, you know there was some fighting, but Ueda is purposely being vague about it and just seems genuinely happy his game still has fans support.

I haven't watched the interview yet but that's pretty funny given that Barlog's outright saying that they're working on the series.

As for Sucker Punch's next game, I think just saying it's playable is vague enough to mean anything. It's probably "just" a small vertical slice and they've still got a ton of work left to do. I'm thinking E3 2016 reveal and 2017 release.

Where the hell was Gravity Rush 2

but seriously

loved the first one hope they bring the second to Vita as well as PS4. So awesome on Vita.

I hope the game shows up at the Paris game event playable (which is after TGS) since I am considering going there. It is ironic how much I crave a new game despite the old one having some terrible design decisions. Gravity Rush had amazing atmosphere with its awesome music and art style. I just hope the sequel is going to blow our minds away.

The thing about Shu is that for all his jolliness, I think he's just as much as "PR expert" as Phil Spencer is, in making sure he says the right things, and is very careful to not be misled into revealing stuff that he shouldn't. He wasn't baited when Colin asked him about Gravity Daze 2, and instead referred to it as how it was announced, aka "New Gravity Project."

It's possible that he teased Greg Miller about it because Greg is a huge inFamous fan/good friend with SP devs, but at the same time, it feels a bit uncharacteristic of him. He's never been one to openly tease about what his studios are working on.
