Not a bad start. The Jalpa is my personal highlight from that selection. Just need 'No Easy Way Out' on the soundtrack now.

Oh don't worry, they will be.
Is there a modern racer that doesn't have the top cars locked behind DLC? The Koenigsegg One:1 is hands down the fastest car in Driveclub (usually by several seconds in time trials) and its locked behind DLC. Forza 5 had the RUF Yellowbird which dominated drag racing, but it also had the Lotus E21 on disc which is easily the fastest car around tracks in the game.

As far as the list goes, I just want Turn 10 to revive the Mazda Furai.

There are a number of cars that I can set similar times with in DC, so stop with the exaggeration. WIth Forza 5, nearly every car I wanted to drive was DLC. And it's all seperated into different packs that make it more expensive to get the ones I want. At least with Driveclub, you get all the extra cars with the $20 season pass that also includes a ton of extra events. Oh, and they released quite a few free cars and tracks.

The Lamborghini's and Nissans are behind DLC in Driveclub and they are some of the most popular and most used cars in racing games. You may be taking about skill, I'm saying there are many I simply had to purchase the season pass for.

Best wishes.

Hopefully the best cars aren't behind a DLC paywall this time around.
Huh?

Everybody has different tastes. There's a ton of variety for a reason. Perhaps you got unlucky that everything you were interested in was DLC but that's just really bad luck, not an intentional directive just to screw Hoje0308 out of some extra bucks.

But you got more than just cars with the DLC. They've more than tripled the number of events available and made some good content available for free. Turn 10 should be offering the same kind of value.

The 2014 GTI They never were, so why would they change that now?

No, just most of the classic Audis and Auto Union, classis F1, the Veyron, Chapparel, classic Ferraris, LaFerrari, the D Type, Veneno, Stratos, 787B, Toyota GT One and Ultima GTR. Who would ever want to drive those in a car game? Wanna drive them in a race? $40

Don't be ridiculous, I don't think they're targeting me specifically, but they have to know that a car nut will find a good number of the vehicles I listed in a previous post extremely attractive. To have them on offer for $40 is fucking maddening. What Evo did with DCs season pass seems like the better option (granted, they did have the benefit of hindsight and did have some making up to do after the first delay). I understand that not all cars can make it in the initial release, but the nickel and diming of the car packs combined with the absurd price of the pass just pisses me off.

I don't disagree with you on how Turn 10 should be offering better value, in fact I find Forza 6 still pretty behind Forza 4, (seems like Forza is getting hit by the Gran Turismo next-gen bottleneck since its 4th entry ironically), but its pretty annoying that some of the most popular cars in racing games and car culture were behind DLC in Driveclub.

Despite that, Driveclub's season pass is definitely worth the money if you enjoy the game. Wish i could say the same for Forza but I know it'll be stuffed with microtransactions eventually again.

Best wishes.

Really excited for this, it one of the reasons I'm buying an Xbox this month. I can't wait to drive that 71 GTX, talk about a special car.

Of course they make attractive DLC packs. What, you want them to just put nothing but filler cars in there? There's tons and tons of awesome cars that come with the main game, too. Don't be mad because they put out quality and attractive DLC.

And since you insist on comparing it to Drive club, you do know you're only getting a few cars each month, right? Each Forza Motorsport pack comes with 10 cars. Now, I don't think the price hike from the FM2/3/4 packs is good at all, but if you're comparing with DC, you need to compare not just what it costs, but what you actually get for that cost. And in that regard, there ain't much difference. Not to mention that there's more depth in the physics and customization for each and every car you get as well. Some cars straight come with car-specific upgrade packages for instance.

Exactly. Forza's DLC packs are actually a lot more valuable than those from Driveclub, and they come with far more interesting cars in my opinion.

So far the car reveals have been good. They had this same sort of content countdown for Forza 5, which I think did a cool job of highlighting what (and why) they had in the game. Having 450 cars for release though, that's a lot to show. Even with the 200+ base cars in Forza 5, they had one of the best cross-sections of regions/decades/disciplines. The pre-war cars in Forza 6 that have been teased sound absolutely bonkers.

Also, I'll riot if we don't get a drivable Warthog this time around. After the autovista tease in F4 and the sports version mentioned in the #HuntTheTruth audioplay, let's just say I'm tantalized.

Nice list. 450 cars to start with is amazing.

Not sure I'll drive the Jalpa a lot in FM6, but I love it in FH2. It's a beast in C-class.

I don't think it'll happen. Last time this was mentioned to Turn 10 they said that it's pretty much pointless to have, since they can only replicate cars that actually exist because of how reliant their tire system is on real data.

450 Cars and 10 Formula E, why don't just put one and let us do all the different paint?
And nothing really new for that first part, just cars from fh2 and fm5.

Being able to play the entire field from the 2014/2015 FIA Formula E season is pretty excellent.

Waaay too many road cars, but that's what people like, I guess.

They just announced an entire new racing series is all in the game......

Forza 5 has a $30 season pass that comes with way more cars than DC.

Oh yeah, while you're being disingenuous by ignoring that Forza 5 released three tracks for free..

Nurburgring at the time of release was the only laser-scanned version of the track in a racing game, it is still the only laser-scanned version on console. Long Beach was a first for the series and Road America was the first time it was ever laser scanned for Forza.

BTW DLC in Forza is added into the career mode with new track events and DLC cars(you don't even need to buy them for AI to drive them.).

It's probably not even a stretch to say that Forza 5 was more free DLC content than the game you like to mention in this thread has in its season pass.
