Two copies sold? That's not a bomb guys, stop trolling!!!
...they're bringing Super Butoden 2 bonus game too. Wow.

EDIT: I thought it was just a special edition of the game with cover plates. Nope, it's an actual console bundle. Surprised.

Wow at the SNES game inclusion.

Can we not get the cover plate + game separately? "Exclusive". Seeing as I've already got a beautiful white N3DS and a 2DS and have no desire for a third black system.

I hope they will sell that coverplate separately. I don't want to buy another console just for the plate.

Btw, today Namco is having lots of EU announcements. Related to Japan Expo?

The bottom half of the faceplate seems a bit bare. I would've preferred some other characters facing the other way on the bottom faceplate.

Wonder how it'll look like on white N3DS.

Just saw the English trailer: by preordering the game normally, you get "Early access" to 6 support characters (Kid Goku, Baby Goku, Super Vegito, Metacooler, Kid Gohan, Garlic Jr.), and you get a download code for Super Butoden 2.

So I'm confused. What do you play the SNES game on? 3DS can't run SNES games.

Bandai-Namco has been releasing SNES games in this fashion for a while now. They put out a Jump compilation a couple years back that had a few SNES games on it, too. People conveniently forget about this whenever the issue of SNES VC is mentioned.

Are there any impressions on this game at all? I keep hearing that it doesn't have online, which would be extremely disappointing if true.

Super Butoden 2 being a pre-order bonus here too is so neat. After Origins 2 removing the original Japanese version of Dragon Ball: Shenlong no Nazo (or Dragon Power as it was in the US) from the English version of it I didn't expect them to do something like this, though the Official DragonBall Videogames facebook page posting "Who remembers this?" when we're talking about a Japanese/French only game the other week out of the blue was a bit of a giveaway.

So it is possible to put SNES games on the 3DS.

This fucking company, man. I swear.

Like, clearly, I would spend a shit ton of money on portable SNES games. Wtf.

i THINK He's making a joke about that because Ninty refuses to releases SNES games on the 3DS.

Nah, I just thought there were memory issues with SNES emulation on 3DS (much like the GBA emulation). Though this and the JUMP thing sound like ports rather than emulation, which clears things up.

Surprising amount of effort on Bamco's part!

I need these faceplates , i hope we can get the faceplates and the snes game anywhere else, i cant buy another console.

Nice, I'm glad the SNES game is coming as well. I remember one of the previous DBZ games dropped the bonus Famicom port when it got released in the west.

Just a heads up that this version isn't going to have the music from the original release because of the Yamamoto stuff. Bamco actually went out of their way to make an entirely new 16-Bit soundtrack for the pre order bonus version of the game. (The one in the 3DS collection still uses the original music, funnily enough.)

Pretty sure the Bamco JUMP compilation was actually done through emulation.

If all DLC came tied to $13 figurines, I'd consider all DLC to be free

Of course its possible - they ported these games over for a retail release. That doesnt mean its worth the effort for a service like VC though if the emulation requires a lot of extra optimization for every game.

But yeah not having GBA and Snes games was a big mistake - its sad that this is one of the reasons im looking for ward to their next portable. Hope NX will finally be able to support all these legacy systems.

Sick they're bringing over Butoden 2 as well. Time to have Vegeta's theme on loop again: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xaKXWFIz5E0

Unfortunately, the game's music has been completely replaced. Yep, even though it was left intact for J Legend Retsuden in 2013, and even though this download version is literally just ripped straight outta that (same options, borders, etc.), and yes even in Japan's download version of the game, not just what will come internationally... the music is all-new SFC tunes ported back into the game.

Kenji Yamamoto's shenanigans strike us yet again.
