Happiest Music in Gaming?

Man my first thought was also Epic Yarn.

Big Bean Vine! Best new original music from that game. At least I think it was original.

Same here- game was (arguably) just foreground for the bright and wonderful music. Baby game for babies? Maybe. But the soundtrack is full out fun.

Super Mario Land overworld theme came to mind as well. Lots of Mario music is bouncy and happy, but that one is quite cheerful and fun.

Nanaaaaaaa nananaaa nanananaaaaa Katamari Damashi

Beavers, ducks, cats, children, lumberjacks, howler monkeys.... all sing in unison to the tune of Katamari!

This track always gets me super happy, then it gets quite pretty and maybe a tad somber but then chills out. Honestly its a god damn masterpiece, shame its for a game that sold 5 copies (one of them to me)

A couple songs from games already mentioned come to mind.

Loco Roco - Dadhi Dado Da

LocoRoco 1 Version: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ve0Iy7T4Crw
LocoRoco 2 Version: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XGeelGp9Jfg

What I like about the second one is how it starts off somewhat lonely and then halfway through all his friends show up and it turns into a party.

Katamari Damacy - Scorching Savanna

Animal Version: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3ucXQ6SamLE
Marching Band Version: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WyMlorp6PgY

It's just so silly and ridiculous it makes me smile. The second song loses the personality and quirkiness of the original, but it's still a medley of songs from the first game so I enjoy it!

BorkBork

The Legend of BorkBork: BorkBorkity Borking
Earthbound Beginnings - Pollyanna for sure. Never fails to bring a smile to my face. Lyrics:

I believe the morning sun
Always gonna shine again, and,
I believe a pot of gold
Waits at every rainbow's end, oh
I believe in roses kissed with dew,
Why shouldn't I believe the same in you?

I believe in make believe,
Fairy tales and lucky charms and,
I believe in promises,
Spoken as you cross your heart, oh,
I believe in skies forever blue,
Why shouldn't I believe the same in you?

You may say I'm a fool,
Feelin' the way that I do
You can call me Pollyanna,
Say I'm crazy as a loon,
I believe in silver linings
And that's why I believe in you!

I believe there'll come a day,
Maybe it will be tomorrow.
When the blue bird flies away,
All we have to do is follow.
I believe a dream can still come true,
Why shouldn't I believe the same in you?

You may say I'm a fool,
Feelin' the way that I do,
I believe in friends and laughter
And the wonders love can do,
I believe in songs and magic
And that's why I believe in you!

You may say I'm a fool,
Feelin' this way about you,
There's not much I can do,
I'm gonna be this way my life through
'Cause I still believe in miracles,
I swear I've seen a few.
And the time will surely come
When you can see my point of view.
I believe in second chances,
And that's why I believe in you!

For largely nostalgic reasons the ending theme to Super Mario Land - it was the first game I ever completed. But the whole soundtrack is awesome. Simple, melodic, cheery, catchy.

Doesn't really get going until the 30sec mark but here you go:

Final Fantasy IX - The Airship, Hilda Garde

Is this the best airship theme in the series? Probably not, but to me it most captures the joyful, exuberant feeling of taking to the skies.

Xenoblade - Frontier Village (Day)

Three minutes of pure, simplistic happiness. I'm usually irritated by the "cute" races in JRPGs, but the Nopon were one of the few exceptions, and this tune is just perfect for them.

Suikoden 2 - Beautiful Morning

This is basically the feeling of waking up on a bright spring morning, leaping out of bed and throwing back the curtains to let in the sunlight, only in musical form. Plus, it's Nanami's theme.
