Tried to address them all, seems like some of them are half questions or remarks.
1. Bad directing, slasher films are like entry level directing for horror
2. I don't mind in most cases (if they find the best actor for the part, then go ahead), in terms of comic book characters it's because of their character and how they're portrayed, if you want a minority character there's a lot of excellent ones just waiting to be used (Black Panther, Mr. Terrific, Storm, etc). I'm not freaking out over Black Adam not being Egyptian because I have confidence the Rock can pull it off & he's a huge fan of the character.
3. People are obsessed with Idris because of the Wire and the rest are bandwagoners.
4. I don't care for either of those.
5. Don't care.
6. Don't care, guessing it's because of remote areas that don't have very many black people catch hold of a trend and they believe that they're the founders of it. Though I'm sure there's always some small group of people that appropriate intentionally.
7. I guess white women are the model of beauty in our society, I really don't mind if you wear your hair natural.
8. With number 7, I feel like people should make their hair as they please, putting stuff behind racial barriers just makes it feel segregated to me. The problem is double standards, everyone should be free from that.
9. I still got student loans, sorry.
10. White Crime/Black Crime in the media, because of institutionalized racism.
11. Talking about race makes me unconformable because not everyone holds the same views. Not all people of the same skin color hold the same views on race, so what one person considers racist could be trivial to another (people wearing ethnic hairstyles, for example). Different people are sensitive to different things. It seems everything could be racist for any reason. OFC there are obvious racist things such as institutionalized racism or cultural double standards. It's the same reason I don't talk about politics with a lot of people, people can become totally different when you bring up the subject and you might lose a friend over it.
12. Because a lot of white people grow up surrounded by white people and that's the natural, safe zone environment for them.
13. I don't understand what she's saying, something about color blind.
14. I don't, but it's the most taboo word in American English. I'd argue it's one of the few swear words that actually carries weight anymore. It's the same reason you hear little kids go through a swearing phase, they're curious because it's forbidden.
15. I don't touch people's hair.
16. Black friends, it's an infalliable argument on it's face, though I don't think there's a state of not being racist, it's more magnitudes.
17. I don't, atleast not in front of people.
18. Don't kiss my dog.
19. Repetition, Growing up with Germanic names. You don't hear the other names all that often outside of specific context.
20. Some people value animal lives more than humans, they're more able to associate with a cute kitten then people they don't associate with daily. I don't connect with people on an emotional level with 9/11 because I live so far away, I don't feel the police problem because I live in a town of <1,000 people. Unless the problem is at my door step, I can't connect as easily.
21. My guess is because white privilege reveals a problem without discussing a plan to tackle it, so it becomes a confrontational issue rather than one in which change takes place.
