I think you have to upgrade your weapons, but they do indeed have a stamina bar under their red health bar.

Lol, it's so damn obvious looking back. I feel like the main thing keeping people from catching on, is simply that they don't want to believe it.

It might just be because I know the twist, but after finishing the intro myself it almost feels like it's not even meant to be that much of a secret. Ocelot asking "getting used to your new self?" is so on the nose.

Plus, Kiefer didn't even *try* to do a different voice.

Wouldn't it be great if we got another game titled MGS5, and instead of playing as venom we played as Big Boss while he made the real outer heaven. Then after that they could have done the MG1/2 remakes where we kill both big boss and the phantom as solid snake.

Yeah. All the clues are there. It's like...so blatant when you play through the intro what is going on. We are all Big Boss. Creating the avatar the way we want it is supposed to symbolize that. We unfortunately don't get to the part where 'Venom Snake' gets the facelift, so we stuck as a cat playing as a snake for a while longer...

I beat her. I just thought there'd be some way to sneak up on her like the End in MGS3. I wasn't even sure what was giving away my position, im guessing it was noise? Even when prone?

I wonder if Decoys would have distracted her to help sneak up on her

I didn't think it was supposed to be a secret at all until I came upon some people calling it a "shocking twist" or a "big reveal".

The second it made me choose an avatar I went "Wait a minute" and when I got control of the camera I looked to see if he had two eyes (which he did). The "twist" was undone in all of ten minutes. This wasn't my suspicion based on pre-release trailers either because I didn't watch any.

I think I got close and tried to CQC her once but it didn't work. Maybe I accidentally made too much noise at the last second or something. If there is some bonus for sneaking up on her I'd love to know about it. Decoys would definitely get her to fire and reveal her position I guess. I basically just looked for the glint of the scope or listened for her humming over and over until she was finished (which took a lotttt of lvl 1 tranq darts).

I meant the one where people were getting hyped and thought there was an ending after the Big Boss Doppleganger Reveal, especially with the Cassette tapes and things. Clearly there is nothing.


And sign me up for that Quiet Ending! Just passing the time until Forza 6 Demo.

Well considering around 90% percent of the people I've spoke to thought there'd be a body double twist right from the first trailer I'm not surprised lol.

That prologue doesn't help with its "subtle hints" either lmao.

Yeah, he was different in GZ, I was disappointed they turned him into some theatrical showcase in TPP. Oh well, Kojima did want to make TPP into a TV show with his episodic format. Seems like he made a soap opera instead.

Played the intro last night and the game is really, really obvious about it. Surprisingly so. It's not so much an abrupt 180 degrees bait and switch as it is a constant NUDGE NUDGE WINK WINK ;) SOMETHING FISHY SURE MIGHT BE GOING ON HERE ;) TWO PHANTOMS

No but it's heavily, heavily implied to the point where it's a completely safe assumption. They say outright they realize they will have to kill each other one day because they support opposing sons (these are their words). Doesn't get more clear cut than that.

So far his best scene is the tape unlocked at the end where he infects Zero, but that may be due to the quality of Zero's new voice actor who does a good job.

Also obligatory WHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO?!

The quality of the ending in terms of emotional impact and grandeur is much worse. Kind of anticlimactic plus they reuse the linear tutorial mission :(

In 4 it was this big 90 minute cutscene and even though I disliked 4 you could tell they made it into a big deal. As for the twist, still not decided yet. I don't like it but deciding now between indifferent or dislike.
