So we went 6 and 2, followed by 5 and 3. I think we forgot about the whole points differential and all that because Ray and I got points really fast at first, so we cooled off on playing hard and just had fun like regular RL. Really great personalities on the other team; awesome moments and cheering! (InMe vs Wheeling and Dealing)

Good games man, you guys killed it!! That was so much fun haha. It was cool to team up and do a few Chaos matches afterwards too! Good times

I feel the tourney should be scrapped and done again as a double elimination bracket that must be played next week.

Tomorrow around 2PM EST (9PM CEST) Slaent FC will play Crouchy's Nachos in group E. So if any other teams in our group are around please let us know so we can get some games out of the way.

Yeah Shawsipinos will be replaced by CountAntonius' team. I haven't updated the groups.

Villa and I can both adjust it. Since he's not around I can take care of it so if people are ready to play they know how to find you. I added you to the standings. I'll add you to the team spreadsheet next, so people can find you.

We should be good later tonight. Weekdays are hard for us since we work full time.

Ok group D folks. Galactic week are free every day this week except Wednesday, we have 1 UK and 1 East Coast America so any time suits us. Let us know the time and we will be there.

Well that's that guys. GG's. I can't deny our duo is more like a one man team. Some pretty bad touches on my end. But I'm glad we didn't get slaughtered :p

Games ended 7-3 and 3-2 in favour of Crouchy's Nachos.

Honestly you guys played well. I felt 7-3 was super harsh for that first game, probably 5-3 or 4-3 if not for some lucky hits and misses here and there. GGs.

Yeah, it was closer than the score. Had it not been for that last second goal I had and the one off the tip, it would've only been 5-3.

yeah still waiting on anyone in group c. not everyone on a team posted in the thread so pming them isnt easy. and being the only ones in the group on pc makes it harder.

There will probably be a roll call this week. Anyone (that hasn't played) who doesn't at least respond is out and we move on to reconfigure groups. It's not fair to make people interested in playing wait another couple of weeks only for teams to show up at the end and say "sorry I forgot all about this".

Thats good, weve been asking anyone in group D to try and get a match together for a few days. If any of you guys are on, lets get together and sort out some times where we can have a match!

Yeah man I'm not gonna pm the other 4 teams in Group F who haven't shown up in this thread at all (can only assume they aren't interested). Agree with this change.

Sorry my team hasn't been responding to this thread, but we (well, nicolajNN) has been sending out PMs, but he didn't check it often enough to be aware of some teams dropping out and then who replaced them. In all honestly, you should be PM'ing teams anyways instead of relying exclusively on this thread. The thread isn't bumped often enough for some people to see it and not everyone will remember to subscribe to it. And even if some people forget about it, seeing a bright orange envelope on the corner usually is signal enough. If they still don't respond, then sure, you have a legit reason. But if you don't try and contact them through the most direct form of communication we got on GAF, then sorry but I can't agree with just DQ'ing the teams that don't answer here. And before you say that they could have PM'd you; sure, they could have. But someone has to do it. :/

In other news, good games to Veritas and 391 Sprintout!

Villa has mentioned he's going to send out PMs. So he'll cover that base as well.

I think if people sign up for a community tournament the least they can do is show up occasionally to its hub. If people aren't playing games, responding to PMs, or posting here at all then that's not in the spirit of the event and it's definitely not fair to the active participants. If someone doesn't care enough to acknowledge something they signed up for, I don't think it's out of line to assume they don't actually have an interest in it or that something more important came up, which is understandable. But at a certain point we need to cut our losses. It's nothing personal and there's always the next one where hopefully the timing works out better.

Lunar FC, for example, came in and mentioned they've just been too busy but plan on playing their games. That's perfect. We know they're interested but can't right now, no big deal. It's just courteous.

also even if you dont have rocket league for pc, shoot me a friend request on steam if you ever want to set up a match so we can message. its a lot easier for me to see and check if im there rather than happening to refresh gaf at the time a team is ready

Yeah I mean, don't get me wrong, if a team isn't responding to any message, then sure, you're absolutely right. My rant was more towards people possibly not PMing their opponents and more or less relying on the thread. That's basically the last line of defense; if people don't answer to PM's, then I'm absolutely fine with this.
