Someone leaked this on /v/ claiming that we'll see it soon. I couldn't find anything about it online in the two minutes I searched, what's the chance this is real and we'll be seeing it Friday?

.If not, I'm guessing that this might be a 3DS remaster/port of Kirby 64 or Kirby Air Ride. The assets and models are low-poly enough to be either a GC port or a up-port of a N64 game.
I do wonder if this is a 3D Kirby Platformer.....not expecting it, but that would be interesting

I agree. We can finally stop pretending the Rare DK games were good. Amazing soundtracks, but how a platformer can feel stiff yet floaty at the same time is beyond me.
Really glad Retro showed us how good the franchise could be.

? I understand if you cannot but if you can, that would be very cool. At least this is another point toward some DLC character being announced for Smash his Thursday

Speak for yourself. Retro's games are better but I still think DKC and especially DKC2 are great platformers.
I'm also game for any DK newcomer. Dixie, Cranky, K. Rool, I'm fine with anybody.

I loved them as a kid. Going back though, I've tried three separate times to enjoy them. They're ugly and play like ass. Aside from the music, I just find them completely devoid of fun after playing through TF and Returns.

Really, the only thing I sorta hope for would be an announcement for Undertale on the Wii U and 3DS eShop. I would buy that game all over again, on both consoles.

Fair enough. Everyone's got an opinion. Plus Retro did a damn good job with their games. Tropical Freeze is hands down my favorite Donkey Kong game.
This right here! DKC1 may be a bit on the easy side, but DKC2 combines a great atmosphere with a decent challenge. They're both great platformers.
Hell, even DKC3 isn't a bad game by any means. It's just not as good as the other two. Retro's work on the DKC games has been amazing, but that doesn't mean that Rare's work was garbage.
Even Mario became an original character. By no longer being Mario at all
Favorite chapter in pretty much any game. Can't believe Glitzville exists in a Mario game.
