LOL brilliant!
Anyone done a settlement defense yet in Sanctuary? I'm trying to figure out my settlement and i'm not sure if all the raiders etc attack from once location (the bridge) or if I need to build defenses all around the town (like on the pathway leading up to the Vault).
How dare you disrupt peoples' nostalgia goggles! All the Fallout games have been flawed despite what some folks like to remember. Lot of imbalanced game mechanics, perk balance all over the place, difficulty/combat encounters were all over the place. They are often sloppy games that just are still fun.
Fallout 2 was a huge mess of a game at launch, major bugs galore that needed several patches to fix, and even then bunch of glitches still remain to this day in the game. The game balance in FO2 was one of the worst in the series, tons of moments where suddenly you could get killed in one shot by a lucky crit, or some stupid AI would do something like wipe out half your party with friendly fire crit. Random encounters that were essentially instant death... hope you saved!
lmao im gonna do this right now
lol, what ammo type does the Cryolator use?
I hate being stuck at work, I just want to play this game.
Makes radiation actually something that has an impact and you have to manage, a reason to care about doctors and anti-rad stuff, and makes perks like Lead Belly appealing. It also makes cooking awesome whereas I can't imagine I would have touched it if radiation were negligible. The health penalty idea, what do people think of it? I think it's shit and has no place in any game.
Trying to build a house is so frustrating. I always leave gaps in the structure, or the doorway is uneven, or the walls won't attach, like fuck.
Hnnng... this and the unlimited money/items glitch... so tempting.
How do you take waypoints off the map? I've got something on there I can't get off even after I visited it
Make sure you have built a floor before you setup walls. They only snap to crafted items.
hi ekim i'm akim
You can't manually scrap junk, just transfer to workbench and it's scrapped as it's needed.
You store them in the workshop and the game will automatically break them down when you need the parts inside them when crafting items.
Just okim, ukim and ikim missing.

Just saw this on Reddit:
"If you use an item with multiple components to craft something else, it will destroy the other components not used in the process. For example if you were to use a gold watch as a gears component, it will destroy the gold. However, if you break the watch down beforehand, you get all the raw materials."
.
For those of you curious how to break down junk, you can drop it on the ground in a settlement and scrap it in builder mode. It can be tedious, but you don't waste precious materials like screws.

Kotaku showing us how to break the game
Unsure why you'd do this instead of just spawning it in the console if you're going to glitch it. Idk, seems really pointless...
(Unless you're on console and don't want to play through it without shortcuts, *shrugs*)
I'm tempted to use those glitches, but at what point do I just say fuck it and give myself all that junk using console commands? If I'm going to be a cheat I may as well make it easy, but I won't.
dogmeat's the best, i'm not surprised he ignores incredibly difficult locking mechanisms.

Anyone met any interesting looking NPCs yet? ie not average height, slim build.
Also you could always just pop the console open on PC, click the display case and type unlock.
No, this has been confirmed to be incorrect, you do not have to manually scrap stuff, it appears there is an issue at the moment where the rest of the materials enter a "limbo" state and you can't see them, but they are still useable while crafting.
Go to the map, hover over the waypoint and press X or A depending on which console you use, you can then Remove it.
So I clicked on the "you're special" book in the intro and my character voiced a line but I was unable to distribute another point to SPECIAL. I'm about to leave the vault and I still don't have that extra point.
Glitch or am I misunderstanding what that book does?

What do I do with duplicate weapons? Can they be broken down in to anything? Or just sell them?
