Along with the previously announced "Danganronpa Project Announcement Event" on December 2, this week's issue of Famitsu magazine will feature new Danganronpa 3 information, with a developer interview with general producer Yoshinori Terasawa and scenario writer Kazutaka Kodaka.

The "New" in the game's title is important, with the goal of introducing new characters, a completely new setting, and game systems, only bringing back symbolic elements like Monokuma.

Also, there'll be some more Danganronpa info in next week's issue relating to what will be announced on the December 2nd live stream.

Man. First piece of info and already spoiled. Now we know who lives in Chapter 3

i fully expect it to be almost identical to the previous two but with new mini games during trials...

So there's no connections to the previous games at all? I guess it makes sense if they want to find a bigger audience on PS4 who haven't played the series before.

I'll be mad if that's true, but I doubt that it is. It's not like Danganronpa 2 was all that Super.

personally i don't believe them about the no connections, lol
Yeah, I don't take anything at face value.

And I don't think they necessarily mean completely unrelated anyway, just not as heavily connected as the first three games. I doubt they'd just reset the whole world after how much they've built it up.

As if. They are surely going to have a big throwback to the other games at the end.

My first thoughts on the character on the left are (spoilers for DR2)
He's a robot...but they already did a robot. So then they're gonna pretend he's a robot, but then he's not a robot... but then they already did that, but with serial killers instead... So he's not a robot, but maybe he is?

Looks like a Yu-Gi-Oh character to me, m8.

Btw can someone translate the text?

correct me if im wrong, but didn't they say in the past that Monokuma =
Junko?

Not really, no.
She used Monokuma but Monokuma could easily be used by others too. It's p much an avatar of despair.

No, what he's saying is that this is what Kodaka specifically stated. He indeed did say this, but I think that was because the interview related to Danganronpa 2 and he might have wanted to justify the decision.

I don't think Monokuma needs to represent that anymore, as you say.

Of course Monokuma doesn't but I am just stating that this is indeed something he stated in the past.

I could go either way on them reusing old stuff or entirely new stuff. I get why people want it to be completely original though.

Looks cool! The three new characters look pretty interesting too. I expect to see some characters return in some form, but hopefully
someone else is controlling Monokuma this time
.

It's gonna be junko, and you are going to feel the Despair of not having another antagonist ever again

:)

Wonder how playable this game will be when you haven't played 1 and 2. I'm interested in this since it's coming to PS4 and I don't have a Vita.
