So much this. Loved the beta but game prices in Canada are fucking outrageous. Ps4 btw.

No you're correct... i was getting IQ and Pulse confused again lol. I guess im always using wall/ceiling cams then... but a good team will shoot them out so not a good solution.

You can see there is a red "spike" on the door/window frame on the lower left or right side for anything laser trapped by Kapkan (sp?) visible on the opposite side of the wall... sticks out like a foot from the wall. They really should take that away or make it MUCH smaller.

Did the beta just not have dedicated served, then? Definitely got kicked during the matchmaking process because the host left, multiple times.

If they did switched to dedis, that fixes probably half of my disconnects from the beta :p

Again, to be clear Terrorist Hunt mode is not dedicated. One person is Host. They have a little icon next to them. There is no host migration. It is also 30fps.

Nope. The little hub/spoke icon during Terrorist Hunt means the Host. You can test it yourself, it is not dedicated - you get disconnected when Host leaves.

Yes. I played dozens of hours and noticed from time to time there was one guy on a team who had that little network icon... whether that be a graphical glitch or true P2P when servers were "wonky" it was happening.

So I played the beta without friends and still had fun, felt like I was contributing even though I mute all but friends. I know that I'm at a disadvantage, and really my team is, when I do this.

Is anyone else playing this way and having a good time?

i play 50/50. i usually start with heaset off but if people are chatting and seem like reasonable humans, i throw mine on. had a good time last night with these 2 randos who were civil and it was fun. It's fun without headsets too though, you just don't win as much :)

Me.

This is the first game I'm considering hooking up my headset for, but I still had fun without it. I tend to stick with the team and still chat if I plan to do something. I don't try to be the lone wolf.

I am thinking on picking this up. My only real gripe is that when playing the single player mode (I am assuming the game has one) I hate having to take care of my team and command them to do stuff.

However, from a multiplayer aspect.... It seems like something I would love. I love battlefront and other FPS's but I am not a big fan of running and gunning. There are no tactics in doing that. I prefer a game where if you are shot and killed... yo uhave to wait until the next game.

Does this game offer that type of gameplay? Any other advice would be great as well... thanks!

I wish I had the scratch for this game. I just picked up Fallout 4, Just Cause 3, and AC:Syndicate and am essentially tapped out. I had a sweet time with the PC beta and am jonesing to play more. That feeling of "what's gonna happen?" When the enemy team has breeched the house and killed the rest of your team and it's just you and your buddy hunkered in a room waiting for any sign of movement to just unload on is so good.

You feel like a T-Rex. Any sign of movement gets a clip and a half unloaded in that direction.

This game doesn't have a singleplayer. Do not get this game for singleplayer.

If you think you would love the slow paced, tactical multiplayer, then go get it. It's great.

I find a lot of the indifference towards the game from people that claim to have played it as outright bewildering.

The last time I've played a military FPS that felt original and carved out a new niche was... I can't even remember. A long time ago.
