It makes perfect sense to buy one if there are enough games you like there. Some people can happily throw their money at something like that for just 1 or 2 games, knowing it will spend most of the time gathering dust, but personally I need well over 10 games and a lineup of stuff still to come so I can justify it to myself. I have so little time to devote to gaming in the first place that it feels like anything less would be wasting my own money that could be put to a better use. With the PC at least it's covering so many other things at the same time while also having almost everything I want gaming wise.

Perhaps you should wait for a bundle to make it more cost effective?
no, you're most definitely right, but it's also persona and it's gonna be hard to argue against my heart asking me for that

unfortunately consoles are super expensive here and 700usd is by far the cheapest i've seen it and the way things are going it's probably gonna get more difficult to buy one in the future

we'll see, i get my end of the year bonus next month so maybe i'll blow that on a ps4 instead of vacations, i dunno

As a fellow argentine I know your situation but as Jawmuncher said no console is worth 700 usd and even less trading vacations money for it.

I can't confirm or deny that I have been playing an alpha for a game that's name also means 2 weeks, but I will say if I was playing it, it is really fun and has a lot of potential.

In an unrelated note, anyone want a Fortnite Closed Alpha key? I have 2, I just need an email to send them to.

Take a vacation to Paraguay and buy a cheaper PS4 there.

Guys, you should have gotten AsSyndicate while it was 40% off

But 40% off just made the Gold edition cost 55€. I'm happy waiting for a 15 or 20€ discounted price for the Gold edition.

plz bump my thread requesting steam cards/badges for tis-100 (it is a text based game):
http://steamcommunity.com/app/370360/discussions/0/492379439682207581/

In a better world all games would come out with cards, so sure, I'll help making this a better world.

I'm kinda regretting not going for the gold edition with the season pass now.
This really is the best assassin's creed game, period.

It's a bit grindy but I enjoyed it.
Finished the game and never look back though. Might double dip if coming to steam at good discount.
I blame gaf for hyping it like an "innovative, fresh JRPG", I saw it in a sale (wizardry edition) and played it, was bored to death and felt like the only thing going for it is Ghibli art (and even then it feels low tier Ghibli stuff).

Does it have something analogous to the lairs in Brotherhood? Because that is my measuring stick for the best AC game.

Those were the "look, we're REALLY sorry we're not making any more prince of persia games, have something that vaguely could be one for a minute, if you squint" sections, right?

Not seen those so far.

No really, who are you?

Syndicate seems to have been getting some good praise from its old fans (I mean Dogg in here), I'm surprised it's also getting praise from you. They must have done something really right.

Yeah, pretty much. They were fun platforming sections. Brotherhood actually had some pretty good stealth/platforming sections in the main campaign, like the mission where you break into the castle.

You're no longer stuck in the mudpit shithole that is the americas with two story buildings with guards on top of every single fucking one of them but in a living, breathing, old city full of tall buildings and streets to climb and leap across, your protagonists (well, Evie) are actually likeable and fun, you can actually approach missions (so far) with some freedom as to how you go about them, they dropped the ridiculous current day "play" sections, etc, etc

PS4 is $350 here, still no deal for now though.

The Ghibli art is mainly the one thing about the game that sold me.

Someone please buy my Blackgate foil card for 2 dollars.
I'm saving up for the winter sale. :D

WOAH WOAH WOAH!! Ni No Kuni is hot fire, game is amazing, but the ending is dumb as FUUUUUUUCKKKKKKK!! like yo this is the ending:
the white witch killed a bunch of people, wiped out a whole town and at the end she goes like, "yo my bad, I'll plant some flowers to amend my sins" and everyone was like totally cool beans with that even though the previous villain who ends up being Oliver's counterpart paid for his sins with his life, which his sins weren't even that bad compared to the white witch. that bugged the hell out of me. Did he kill your mom? yes. but the white witch killed wayyyyy more people

This is why I never look back at the game again.

Gentlemen, we can rebuild it. We have the capability to make the world's first enhanced store. Steam will be that store. Better than it was before.

Yep, I've been trying to tell you guys for months. I can't wait for the Jack the Ripper stuff.

Another thing I've been telling people for years is that Shadow Complex is the shit. Having it on PC is great, and since it's free everyone really should be playing it. Hopefully it comes to Steam once it's released on other major platforms.

The PS4 is pretty cheap over here, but still way too much for me to buy it for one or two games. At that point it's basically a peripheral for the game you want.

Couldn't you paypal someone the money, then have them buy it for you and post it to you Zkylon?

gave away the keys to the kingdom.
I can understand buying a system to play a particular game or two, but what baffles me is doing this pre-emptively. There were a number of PS3 owners who suddenly felt swindled when FFXIII was announced for the X360, for instance, and I just laughed to myself. Here's a novel idea: wait until the system you want actually has the games you want.

I gotta have at least 5 games or so usually but, yeah I under stand for a game or 2. I certainly don't get the buying it before a game is even announced. That whole FF13 outrage thing is laughable now a days though.

I did that with MGS4, but yeah the idea of 'game series X' or 'develop X' belonging exclusively to a console is a bit ridic.

Seriously. You'd think this would be common sense. But then we live in a world where people pre-ordered Duke Nukem Forever 10 years before it came out, so I suppose this is just par for the course.

Those kind of ppl deserved to be laff'd at for taking it seriously that their favorite series is going to another platform. I never understood those type of gamers but I just love seeing their reactions.

Yeah that's why I only buy consoles which already have launched after 1 or 2 years. Had a slim PS3, 3DSXL, PSP2000, and black Wii U all bought by myself (older consoles were purchased/gifted to me by parents). Waiting for a new cheaper PS4 model.

I wouldn't have a PS2 playing PS3 if I did that though!

I was a Playstation kid, owned PS1 and PS2, but that kind of fanboyism is just pathetic. I'm glad I bought my PS3 years later after release, and definitely will do the same for the PS4.
