New Dead Or Alive Xtreme 3 video showing soft engine 2.0

Is this from the Cast Away sequel? Wilson goes on vacation.

Yup, follow what happened to Wilson after
he got lost in the sea
and end up having a good time. :)

But more seriously, instead of working on breast physics, couldn't they work on HAIR physics. I mean, back in 2006, Dead or Alive 4 was amazing with that hair physic for the time... even if it looks bad and weird today. Couldn't they at least implement proper hair physics now ?

The flesh engine is indeed amazeballs, but that hair jank really pulled me out of the ogle-zone. It is really noticeable.

The hair doesn't react to the sand at all and just clips straight through it.

Also the bum deformation looks like it's only using a very low polygon mesh.

One day I dream we'll have powerful enough technology to allow for Bottom nurbs and nipple tessellation.

The skin/flesh shaders they are using are significantly better than the DOALR version, i can tell that right away, and the deformation physics are a class apart too. Beyond that, they've improved the models as well. They are probably using the PS4 as a base now unlike DOA5 variations where the 360/PS3 engine was still fully in effect.

But the hair is still a sore spot because of the clipping. Hopefully they can address that next.

I hope they can bring all of this over for DOA6

One of my personal hopes for this gen was a massive improvement in material simulation. So far I've been sorely dissapointed with that aspect, but at least some devs use the improved tech to advance in that area.

Granted, in this case it's used in a pervy way, but the applications for this tech could be potentially game changing.
Show someone hold a characters face in their hands and have the skin and fat deform the face in a natural way, or have characters tread on moss in a forest, just for it to deform and move back up.
Punches to various body zones would deform the body fat and skin realistically.
