Hey guys I think this movie uses CG a lot
ID4 was iconic because they blew up the whitehouse at a time when that shit was just not done. And for Will's charm
Now we see the whitehouse nuked ever summer, some times more than once.

Time for your avatar to come back.
Seriously no Will Smith is sticking out like a sore thumb. Shouldn't have gone forward without him.
It would be nice if Emmerich went back to using practical models and blowing the fuck out of those. If I remember correctly, a LOT of the first film was done using model work, and of the 75 million dollars the film was budgeted for, about 50 of it was for VFX. I think the White House explosion cost 2 mil alone.
I believe the first film holds some sort of record for most models blown up in a movie or something like that. I'm old now, I used to know these things.
It looks like they're lifting a city off the ground and dumping it on top of another city.
That would be really, really fucked up.
HA! You remember.
I just hope this movie has a story to tell and isn't just a cgi-fest of more alien ships and more explosions.
Next movie they gonna invade the aliensSo Dubai is sucked up and thrown on top of London?
How the fuck is he gonna ever out do that in the future?
Is there a particular reason some of these trailers are titled "super bowl" and others "big game"?
So Independence Day 2 will be the Destiny of movie experiences. Keep your cell phones handy so you can get all the background on all the characters blowing shit up, flying around and dropping one liners for the next two and a half hours!Well they're certainly putting a lot of effort into that lore timeline website...
ID4 was a product of it's time, like Armageddon. Trying to repeat that just comes off bland.
I think they're just out for revenge this time. Kill us all. Sort it out later. Why would you even bother tossin one city on top of another city?
Is that how the aliens "till" the earth?
Super-scaping?
Sure, but hey it's a Super Bowl ad. I'm sure when the Stanley Cup final is played they'll make a special one for Canada that's all Tim Hortons, maple syrup, and Bryan Adams.Wow, too much american patriotic bullshit.
Still looks good.
The president from the first movie.Who is the guy with the beard saying they came back? It looks like Randy Quaid, but it can't be....
Will Smith is somehow in this movie despite what everyone is telling you!

They already killed his character off-screen according to he movie's website.
He will be in the 3rd one. But in a plot twist he will be a alien clone sent to kill the president.

That's what they want you to believe. The world had to believe Capt. Hiller was dead in order for him to undergo the deep cover interstellar assignment necessary to save not just our world, but our GALAXY.
Will Smith as the Alien clone which is also the presidents lover who wants to destroy the earth but his left pinky completely denies him the satisfaction of ever destroying earth right???
Either way I loved this Super Bowl ad, cannot wait for it to hit the chine as

He's actually the ship that he died in.
Is Jaden or Jaden's dad going to be in this movie?
Lol really?im in guys
im in
edit:
lol
according to their website http://www.warof1996.com/ will smiths character died during a text run of a new jet that used alien technology
I remember that to film the overview of the wave of fire going through the city, they made a miniature of the streets, put it at an 90 degree angle and started a big fire underneath it.It would be nice if Emmerich went back to using practical models and blowing the fuck out of those. Did the aliens just drop a city on another city, or am I making a mistake?

How the hell can the earth survive whatever the hell that was lol, can't wait.
