Psycho-Pass: Mandatory Happiness coming west for PS4, PS Vita, and PC this fall

Surprising choice?!

However since it has the 1st season cast and KAGARI SHUUSHUI it will be a must buy game.

Also that new guy looks great, hope hes a good guy or is he the antagonist?

Haha. Well, that fits in with what Anihawk was hinting I guess, PS4/Vita game and not necessarily something you'd expect.

Weird that they's skip the XB1 version though.

Cool. Will buy.

Well damn. Hopefully the story replicates the first season in how awesome it was. Season 2 was a wreck. How was the reception for this one in JP?

NISA hasn't published a single XB1 game, right? They might not feel it's worth the effort of buying a publishing license. Besides, 5pb. might publish that version on XBL themselves.

Cool to see more VNs localized. Platforms would make perfect sense...if it weren't originally an Xbox One game, if I'm correct? I guess they don't think it's worth it in the west (and they could full well be right)

Oh right, that does make some sense. For a single game they might just not want to bother.

So it's a visual novel with anime style transitions??
Really liked the first seasons the others were hit and miss...
Exited for this

Interestingly? I don't think there's a single pure VN that has English voices.

I paid good money for this Dynex!
The fuck is going on these days? Shmups? VNs? We're drowning in them, and they're coming to the US. That's cool.

What a time to be alive.

You'd have to be pretty stupid to dub a VN that wasn't a Zero Escape or Danganronpa type thing that caters to larger audiences. Dubbing an anime licensed visual novel would be crazy.

Games with Japanese-only dubs usually don't get released physically due to SCEA's crap.

That's not true at all, at least where VNs are concerned. Steins;Gate, Norn9, Code:Realize only have the Japanese dub and they all have physical editions as well.

A lot of Vita games with only Japanese voices get physical releases as well.

Fair point. They didn't publish a single 360 game either.

Oh, nice. Guess I should finally finish watching the first season (or just watch new hour-long episode version- is that the better version?) since I only ever got a few episodes in and this seems worth picking up.

That's old SCEA, the one from five years ago. Aksys released quite a few japanese-only dubs games, including visual novels, since then.

That hasn't been true for years.

I stand corrected.

I blame the Vita for being so uninteresting.

Not super interested in this since I never even finished the first season, but I should support more translated VNs for the Vita.

Can't find an answer online...
Is this an adaptation of the series? A side-story? Sequel? Do I need prior Psycho Pass knowledge to understand it, or is it more of a "prior knowledge just = understanding fun references" dealio?

Wait so is this a new story or the same one from the anime? I loved the first season of the anime, wouldn't really want to watch/read it again if it's the same thing though.
