Odd I can't buy You Must Build a Boat. It keeps telling me "This item is currently being modified." Anyone else seeing this? or know how to resolve it?

I'm testing Rush Rally 2: Dirt at the moment and it's amazing.

Right up there with RalliSport Challenge on the original Xbox (probably the best rally game ever).

I feel 100% the same!

The camel that broke the straw's back for me and made me delete it was when it sent me a notification advertising one of their other games (I had already stopped playing it for the same reason as you).
After having searched around fairly thoroughly and only finding praise, I really wasn't expecting it to be so incredibly bad. Like sub-highschool character writing.

Dude's stranded in space, his friends are dead, his resources are incredibly finite, and he's off making stupidly unnecessary wisecracks and references. Taylor doesn't feel real at all, he doesn't react to his situation in a logical way, he just comes off as the poorly written cartoon character that he is. /rant

I'm not even surprised by the ad notification. Glad I deleted it.

ooh. OOOH

importantly, does it have almost broken physics so you can hit a rock and go flying halfway across the course? That was the best part of RSC

Idk, look at The Martian. Humor and staying positive so you don't go insane or just be panicking seems helpful in that kind of situation

I disliked though for the reasons I disliked al the other similar games. Not enough choice and the bits of text are so short that the narrative is never really that compelling

How is the RCT3 port on iOS?

most importantly (and I doubt they fixed this because it's not fixed in any of the vanilla patches either), did they bugfix the fact that no one stands in line for rides because of their shitty coding of groups?

Fantastic game. One of the best puzzlers in a while, constantly changing things up. Well worth the download.
Agreed. I have 1 code to the first person to PM me. I already own the game and have a code from the app to give away.

Edit: all gone.

Train Conductor World:Europe (lol) is fantastic. Although it uses Unity ads so never continue unless you wanna watch commercials.

The game simply crashes on startup since iOS 9.2.1. So there's that.

Got my hands on Able Black last night. Haven't played too much, but it's definitely interesting

A little bit Talos Prínciple (sci-fi story with androids), a little bit Device 6 (blend of text, sound effects, and visuals), and a little bit...actually haven't done enough puzzles to think of a good comparison

Good...good....

I'm having hard time deciding what to get between new games and sales.

Did you happen to try DIRAC as well?

+1. I think you'd love it Pitta!

Yes, Pitta. It doesn't have Deathwatch's looks, but it blows Deathwatch away gameplay-wise. Much deeper and complex tactically

Get Templar Battleforce before the sale ends! :D

Thanks everyone, believe me I'm not ignoring you at all.
I even tried the game on Steam too last week and looks really cool...it's just not the right time for me to sink many hours in a turn based game with a WH40K vibe right now.
I actually loved the story bits/branching etc...I'll play it sooner or later, trust me!!!!

Every mission manages to impress me even more. Always with a clever new objective and structure. It's a top tier SRPG without a doubt.

Didn't the Templar Battleforce sale already end? It looks like its back to full price in the UK App Store.

Oh, shame. Still worth it full price, though!

I downloaded the Starbucks app, but how do I get Swaperoo from it? I guess I'm missing something :x
I think you have to have a Starbucks account. It'll show up in "Messages" when an free app is offered. I'm sorry I can't help much more -- I've been using the app for years and am unfamiliar with how it handles new folks.

Thanks. Had an account for a while but nothing there. Thanks for the info though!

Anyone else try Lost Tracks? It's a beautiful and VERY short little experience. Won't call it a game, as it's hardly that. It's the story about a boy falling in love and finding the courage to approach the girl. You delve into the boy's subconscious as he chases his metaphysical courage through a shadowy world with no direction except for some tracks on the ground. You move forward by holding down on the screen and turn by either tilting your device or swiping left or right. Super simple.

The little puzzle gameplay that there is is quite simple and you are pretty much lead by the hand throughout the whole thing. However, the graphics and emotional sound design really draw you in and absorb you into the world. It took me all of 15 minutes to finish it, but I found it to be a really lovely experience. The world you go into is very obtuse and doesn't really give you any rhyme or reason as to why it is the way it is (beyond the obvious that you start on a train), but perhaps they have more in store for us.

Wow. That is a huge compliment. Have to check it out when it's released.

Thankfully not!

Actually RR2 is missing visual representation of damage right now.

I just downloaded it last night. Crashes when I pull the first lever. :(

Pocket Tactics: Virtual tabletop, Tabletopia, runs first iPad prototype

Basically, this is a tool that will allow you to play scores of board games online, and do it with style. There’s no rules enforcement, so it will literally be like sitting at the table, and the games look so fine you can almost smell the ink and cardboard. One of the big selling points is that the game modules have been approved by (and sometimes created by) the actual board game publishers.

This thing seems really awesome, in theory.

Gamezebo also reviewed the game and gave it 4 stars out of 5.

Bah humbug...reviewers suck. Still a 5/5 for me and an early GOTY contender.

That PG review was especially bad. I'll cut and paste what I said in their comment section:

Ridiculous. Why do reviewers suddenly have something against "hardcore" experiences? Every negative mentioned here are things that require SKILL to overcome. The levels are ingeniously designed and there's nothing that you can point to as something that wasn't your own fault. It's no different than a game like Super Meat Boy in that it takes trial and error, memorization and fast reaction. None of it is pure luck. The game is so well designed with amazing graphics and everything just comes together when it's in motion. A GoTY contender and an iOS classic.

In future games, we’ll be adding as many control schemes and other options as we can, from the start. Even if we think the additional schemes aren’t as good. The presence of options are important to people, more so than the value of the options themselves.

so much this. I got a refund on Crashlands as I felt it was very difficult to control on iPad mini.

Tried out that Pilots of the Dawn game. Vlambeer has nothing to worry about

Besides the blatant look, everything else is just meh, and just bad when compared to Luftrausers. The plane feels slow sluggish. Getting hit is jarring, it causes this annoying screen shake that adds nothing to the gameplay. All you do is turn left or right, and you fire automatically

Hopefully, they can port Luftrausers with touch control support someday (since we know they already have ported with controller support to Android).

I know Clash Royale is the current hotness (and I like it, don't get me wrong), but it's disappointing to see everyone sleeping on Lost Socks. I feel like it's got everything "true gamers" said they wanted from a mobile game: the levels are short so it's easy to play when you've got a free moment, it's challenging enough to appeal to "hardcore" gamers, the challenges give it enough replay value.

Even more disappointing when this is #10 on Top Paid charts
