Wish it were single GPU at 16 TFLOPS.

Although I heard the TFLOPS that AMD measures is different than nVIDIA?

It's the same Calculation everyone uses.

shader count * frequency * floating point Operations per clock (typically MulAdd as it counts as two operations per clock)
[2x 4096] * [1.0E9] * [2] = 16.384E12 aka 16 TFLOps

Did anyone catch that HBM2 is listed on their 2017 GPUs instead of Polaris???

Unless I'm wrong HBM2 won't be coming to Polaris... Well this kind of deflated my hype.

well it is water cooled, so not much heat, literally. but definitely figuratively.

Water-cooling doesn't stop heat generation, it just moves the heat away from whatever you put the waterblocks on. You've still got a radiator somewhere which will be hot. The card is still generating exactly the same heat regardless of what cooling system you use.

HBM2 is for high-end Polaris. The other versions will quite likely come with GDDR5X.

AMD roadmaps are about as accurate as your average haruspex reading goat entrails. And I'm saying this as an AMD fan.

They literally just announced tonight that VEGA will come after Polaris in 2017 and will feature HBM2. Then NAVI in 2018 will feature "next gen memory" whatever that is.

Can I Crossfire 2 of these?

Yes but it would be like Crossfiring 4 cards so keep in mind all the latency that will bring in normal games.

A double GPU card better have that kind of performance, and its not even 10x PS4's GPU yet despite being about 6 years more advanced.

Eyebrows should only be raised when its a single GPU putting out that kind of performance, i hope polaris and pascal at those lower process nodes deliver some goods..for polaris I expect 12 tflops from the highest end GPU cards

A single 980ti I believe does 5.63 TFLOPS.

(A Titan X is 6.14 TFLOPS)

So, the Fury Pro pretty much OBLITERATES IT.

Nvidia FLOPS and AMD FLOPS are not anywhere near the same. AMD FLOPS are generally much higher for the same performance as Nvidia

So the actual party starts in 2017 with Vega and HBM2. Looks like the dual gpu will be the flagship for this whole year.
