I cannot wait for the Mac Remote Play feature. I just hope it works well. I mean, I don't really leave my apartment that often, but it's nice to know I can stream with full DS4 capabilities anywhere that has a wifi connection. Remote Play on Vita is nice, but the control schemes basically kill it for me.

Can games hook into the Community feature btw? Playing The Division, and it'd be very useful if it treated the GAF community as a seperate Friends List in-game

Mac Remote Play is going to be huge for me.
hope it arrives in time for Invisible, Inc - a good turn based game would be perfect for it.

I didn't know this was coming. I like using the official Sony wireless headphones with my Mac, too. Looks like I'll be able to set something up. Wonder if I could take my PS4 gaming into my basement man cave now.... Hmmm. Damn!

poop. i'm going to hold off until i hear more about the STABILITY (TM) first.
i'm having a lot of crashes with SR:IV which is pretty much the only thing i've been playing since updating to B2.

But when it returns, I will be able to do RP on PC which will be really great. So IMO, it will be worth the wait.

I want them to allow recording for longer than 15 minutes. 30 minutes please? Alot of MP games run for longer than 15 minutes...

It's been over 3 weeks since the beta was released. Hopefully it leaves beta next week.

Wifi or wired? I got a powerline networking kit because the PS4s wifi is so shite. I wonder if this update improves the wifi enough that I didn't need to. Though I'd have kept it anyways because the max ping varys from the average ping so much less than any Wifi.

Hopefully PC remote play will be 1080p(at least on wired) instead of 720p.

Not possible on the PS4 (15min require around 1GB of RAM).
Maybe on the PS4K and its 12-16GB GDDR5X of memory? 
It'll still be 720p60.

Wired to the router, A few years back I Drilled through and my house is fully networked, there is no way you can get those speeds with Wifi

My wifi speeds went to shit. I have one system using beta and one using last official release right next to each other and the one in beta has dl speed in the kb while one not in beta has dl speed around 11mb. Hook it up with cable and it's fine again.
You could stream to twitch and archive it. That will save the whole stream.

Yeah, its been a while. Normally the firmware is in beta just for a few weeks. Is there some issue that hasnt been mentioned (apart from wild variation in download speeds?)

Remote play has been broken on both firmware betas now. Downgrade to official if you want to use that. Note that if you are using a non-Sony phone, you may have to wait a while for the remote play modder to update the app when the firmware comes out for real. Took just under a week last time.
If it's not remote play, what other phone features does the PS4 have?

Phone features still work, things like the Singstar app is still working fine, as is second screen on Monopoly. Can only assume the poster is running a rooted phone with remote play (non Xperia) and not read the patch notes that tell you remote play will not work with Beta software.
