LTTP The Wolf Among us is sooo good!

I switched to an alt account to ditch my embarrassing tag so I could be an embarrassing Naughty Dog fanboy in peace. Ask me anything!
So I finally managed to play this game thanks to GWG and wow I cannot believe I let this fly under my radar. I absolutely loved the art style, atmosphere, the characters and the moral choices I was forced to make. The ending had me in the edge of my seat and
I really liked the nice little twist at the end there..

It was not all perfect - Stupid bugs and performance issues constantly diminishing the experience ( unacceptable that a game like this not run well ) and I also wish it was more mechanically involving ( say what you want about Heavy Rain but I wish this was as involving as that mechanically ) but in the end I cannot complain too much.

Please tell me a Season 2 is happening GAF ? Please???

Also what a fking amazing intro. Dat music... Dat atmosphere.... Bring on the fking Batman game Tell Tale. I am convinced that it is going to be stupendous after experiencing this

About season 2, the problem is the game was basically a prequel for the comics, so any continuation would conflict with the comic's storylines.

They could take the TWD approach and use the setting with new characters, but the compelling characters are those from the comic.

If you haven't already, I also suggest playing The Walking Dead S1 and Tales From the Borderlands if you haven't already.

Both amazing games. On par with Wolf

just started this a few days ago and really enjoying it so far

just got to chapter 4, can't wait to wrap i up

OP make sure you read the first big Fables arc (1-75)* now because it is amazing

* this is volumes 1-11 of the graphic novels. you can find digital copies really cheap if you want to read them on your tablet. it is a MUST READ.

The Wolf Among Us was far away enough from the beginning of the comics (I think like 20 years) that you could probably get away with it, honestly.

This probably didnt make enough profit to warrant continuing for how Telltale currently operates sadly :/

I don't know. It's sold 800k on Steam alone. Considering that the game is out on consoles as well, I'm pretty sure the game was very, very profitable.

Loved this game. Might even rate it higher than Walking Dead S1 (even though they are totally different in what they are trying to accomplish). Liked the characters and the world all the way through and would recommend people try this one out.

TT playing games right now. Aint nobody ask for GoT or Batman. Give us TWAU goddamm it.

GoT I agree but Batman is an awesome choice. Having said that yeah if it is choice between TWAU and Batman, then TWAU Season 2 all the way

Thank you for the suggestion! Will def be reading it!

I loved this. Great story, interesting setting.

I'm not a comic book reader. But it got me reading the whole series. Really love it.

Play Tales from the Borderlands if you haven't already.

Seriously, you won't regret it.

Yeah, Tales from the Borderlands is great too. The Wolf Among Us and Tales From The Borderlands are just as good as TWD Season 1, if not better.

Great game, loved all of it. Just didn't like how the episodes seemingly got shorter and shorter.

Like others have said make sure you play Tales from the Borderlands, that TT game is also great.

The ending of the wolf among us is mind boggling. Also, the character interactions are great. You really care for Bigby.

It blew me the hell away last night . I would never give a game like this the time of day but with GwG it's getting the shine that it deserves. Going to buy the walking dead s1 and 2 this Friday too because I was so impressed.

I've wanted a 2nd season for so long now :/. Makes me sick people want more Borderlands & Game of Thrones. Neither of those games have characters as interesting as those in Wolf imo.

It was my favorite Telltale game, until Tales from the Borderlands. I felt like TFTB had a stronger finish than Wolf, but they're both still top output from the developer.

as far as telltale games go,it's good..sadly he has also all the problems telltale games have, that basically you are given only the illusion of choice.

I enjoyed TWAU quite a bit. Just about to start Tales from the Borderlands today, and I'll be pretty well caught up with the newer TT games series (aside from the latest in progress Walking Dead series).

you won't be disappointed! book 1 (issues 1-5ish) is a murder mystery so it is of a similar style to TWAU but after that it steadily ramps up the stakes

by the time you get to book 4 it is GOAT level comics

Wolf Among Us is one of those rare games where I actually managed to "figure out" the mysteries and story beat at the same time or slightly earlier than the characters, and that always greatly enhances the experience in such a story-driven game.

In the first episode, when you talk to Faith outside the apartment building
and she's being weirdly cagey about her ribbon, asking pointed yet vague questions and darting her eyes at it
, I felt like something was suspicious, but couldn't put my finger on it. Episodes later, when you're talking with Nerissa in Bigby's office
and you have the choice to say something like "Well why don't we just take off that ribbon," and Bigby reaches out to untie it and Nerissa absolutely freaks out,
it all suddenly clicked.
The ribbons, the way conversations always seemed to be blatantly steered around them, that they're all tied around the character's necks, that the MO for the murders was decapitation... Bigby was just lifting his arm for the ribbon after I'd clicked the choice and
suddenly I "got it" and actually yelled out "NO!" at the screen.

Loved the game, played it all weekend. I may just buy the Fables graphic novels. The things that bugged me were instances where the game froze during auto-saves in chapter 4 and 5 (which may be due to the game being saved on my external HDD) and a few glitches (like when replaying chapter 1, the direction to push the analog during the Woody fight isn't visible).

I hope they revisit this series. Also, not bad for my first TT game.

Weirdest part for me is that im Comic Book Fan more than a video game fan (theyre both pretty close though lol) and i havent read the books yet... but DEFINITELY checking them out now... i just hope Bigby is the central character, i love the detective type stuff.

you really need to read it!

It's an Eisner award winning series for a reason, i really hope more posters take the plunge and give the comic a try. You've already fallen in love with the world, now watch it build out so much more as a wonderfully satisfying story gets told throughout. It's funny, subversive, charming, and epic.

My favorite telltale. I'll reiterate the recommendation to play Tales from the Borderlands, which has weaker plot writing but great character interactions (at least when it comes to humorous parts).

Why isn`t Telltale announcing season 2? They have already said that The Walking Dead will have a third season, and they announced season 2 of Games of Thrones right after releasing the last episode.

It deserves a sequel but sadly it doesn't have the brand recognition of their other titles so I doubt it will ever happen, but the world and story was so interesting.

I started playing it today and had a lot of fun with Episode 1. This engine needs to die in a fire though. Have they released one game on it that actually ran decently because from a technical standpoint this game is a bit of a nightmare at times?

Ending question:
that was Nerissa pretending to be Faith at the beginning of the game, right, and not Faith glamoured as Nerissa throughout the entire game?
