That or he should have just dropped their ultimate trigger word: Sarkeesian, somewhere in there at random. It wouldn't even have to have any context. Just...suddenly Sarkeesian.

"We're excited to be working in the industry at a point when independent development and publishing is at its strongest. Continued dedication from developers like Crytek and their open-source approach to engine development Sarkeesian so many opportunities. We're hoping to leverage our team's decades of industry experience, but without the limitations of traditional corporate backing."

Like I said in the other thread there is no actual new information from Denis here. We already knew Shadow of the Eternals was going to be a part of a transmedia project; all that was mentioned on that podcast was that it was still happening and that the business behind the scenes is still being worked out.

Trailer is also just a repost from their Kickstarter campaign.

Should probably be in the OP, especially the part about the trailer.

Wow, I forgot about this. The gameplay demo just released (even though it's the original Kickstarter one) looks super bare bones and fairly dated now, unfortunately. But if people want it, I hope they get the chance to play it one day.

Damn I really want this. Loved Eternal Darkness, anthology type setup and lovecraft vibe.

Shame this is going to a battleground for internet crazies though.

I don't think he's GamerGating on this, I think he's just trying to say it was unethical for journalists to out him as a fraud, which is still hilarious in its own right.

EDIT: Oh, Dyack actually is a GamerGater? Lol, I had no idea.

His twitter account says otherwise.

I remember when they showed the cryengine demo and spent a good 20min bragging about a rain shader someone made for the tiny windows in the back of the room. They were so proud of that rain shader lol. They eentually came back to it for another 5 min lol. Tthats like all they had to show.

This actually looks cool but I have no confidence in ever seeing it come out, and only a little confidence it would be good.

They should just develop Eternal Darkness 2 out of spite. They do hold the ip rights.

For how long, wasn't there a ruling a looong time ago that gave Nintendo 36 months ultimatum or something, that time frame should have surely passed by now?

Rösti?

Rösti?

That date was just for the "Eternal Darkness" name. If left to expire Nintendo would still own everything associated with Eternal Darkness such as the characters and story.

As Sartre noted in his contemplation on Hell in No Exit, the true horror is other members.

I have never supported any sordid hashtag campaigns, but I felt Precursor Games did not get a fair shake in 2013.

The kind of hate I see for this guy here is really quite extreme and mean, and always has been, since he's been banned from ever replying to any of it for nearly a decade, before I even joined. Just sayin'.

They put their project up on Kickstarter twice and people chose not to fund it to the amount they wanted either time.

Seems fair to me.

I'm too lazy to watch your movie trilogy, but my feelings are that crowdfunding is purely goodwill and they have no entitlement to people's money whether or not the press was "fair" to them or not. And their co-founder was a child molester.
