Eternal Darkness spiritual successor, 'Shadow of the Eternals', alive again ; Trailer

Dusk Golem

A 21st Century Rockefeller
Hey everyone, this is Dusk Golem aka AestheticGamer. I have posted on NeoGAF since 2011, and have decided to resign. I have enjoyed posting about horror games here for years, but I no longer wish to support the site and will be leaving for good. I will still be around the internet, I go by AestheticGamer on YouTube, I make games on Steam as Yai Gameworks, and I plan to go by Dusk Golem on other forums. I'll be joining an off-set of the GAF community leaving to try other ventures like ResetEra (Official Twitter for that here: https://twitter.com/reseteraforum ). I hope some of you who read this may consider it, and I plan to try to expose more people to horror games in the years to come. Just not here.

I hope you all are having a good day, and know I always loved the community, and in the end it's the community I'm going to stick with, not the site itself. If you want to follow me, my official Twitter is here: https://twitter.com/AestheticGamer1

Like I said in the other thread there is no actual new information from Denis here. We already knew Shadow of the Eternals was going to be a part of a transmedia project; all that was mentioned on that podcast was that it was still happening and that the business behind the scenes is still being worked out.

Trailer is also just a repost from their Kickstarter campaign.

You can probably draw a direct connection from the removal of the boob slider to this crowdfunding attempt's failure.

Hello, my name is Yves Guillemot, Vivendi S.A.'s Employee of the Month!
Dyack also commented on why the game's crowdfunding campaigns failed, where at one point he blames "extremely unethical" games journalism.
Really tho?

Unethical games journalism caused them to fail last time...

...not surrounding himself with pedophiles, and have a dubious, nigh-criminal record of financing games in highly sketchy fashion...

Let it go, Denis.

the gamergate people are probably the last chance he has to get anything done so he might as well pander to them, because nobody sane is going to take him seriously anymore

Incredible.

I'm sure his "extremely unethical journalism" theories will do him a lot of favors.

I don't think it's happening until we see more, but I wonder if he has reason to say it's alive again a few years later.

He's been saying the same thing about the game since 2014 (that the project was alive). The only difference is that this time the message was on a podcast rather than a random tweet or post on the game's forum.

For those interested the talk about the status of the game is here. It's mostly just comments about how the "unethical" press treated them.

Isn't that gameplay mostly the same what they showed before? If they want to convince anyone, it's time to finally show something entirely new instead of stuff that is based on the footage that already failed to impress most people years ago.

So how much is he going to ask for? "After careful consideration and unethical games journalism, I've lowered the minimum to $740k"

Its probably all he has. Does he even have a team anymore? I remember one of them got into trouble having child porn on his computers.

Well that might work if they actually had anything new. The well is dry, he's doing this for the money. They're just treading water here.

I'm interested in this project, I liked Eternal Darkness, but the video above reminds me of Dreamfall Chapters (Unity too? Maybe), but let's see.

they have soured so badly, they must realize this.... who trusts it dennis you gott aknow this man. you gotta see it...

its not just you or your claims or whatever else but games have been hit or miss and of course this game has had huge trouble.... thats the issue

Holy shit Dennis, just give up you fucking hack. Your ego and incompetence already destroyed Silicon Knights, don't drag down yet another studio with you trying to recatch that lighting in the same bottle that you could only do the first time thanks to Nintendo.
