Diddy Kong Racing......I'm crying inside
Jesus christ what is that thing, kill it and put it out of its misery
Did RaD basically say as much tho? They said they are working on a few titles and none of them have the do with The Order isn't one a rift exclusive? Also they are announcing there new game next week and all indications are that it is a new IP
Xenogears
Coz the ending states XENOGEARS EPISODE V, so what happened to Episode I-IV?
Back in the day, Sony was hyping this game up as a new mascot. It dropped like a wet fart, but still, a sequel was long rumored. But the game's lead character was voiced by Phil Hartman, who died soon after, and plans for the sequel were scrapped:
Crimson Skies did get a sequel, though. High Road to Revenge was a sequel to the original Crimson Skies.Ms thread? As much as I like their games, they are the master of one hit games that never get the deserving sequel.
Just on the top of my head:
- Crimson Skies
Ryse?
I don't think this was ever suppose to be a franchise.
Evolve
The way this game also ended on a cliffhanger...
Not once, but twice.
Poor Homefront.
It absolutely was.
And what publisher / developer the size of 2K and Gearbox doesn't kick off new IPs in an effort to launch a franchise? That makes no sense.
Yeah...that definitely did not go as anticipated for them. The new game will help Take-Two solidify its position in the first-person shooting game genre, going forward. The attractive features and interesting storyline of the game will help Take-Two capture console market share amid significant competition from Electronic Arts (EA) and Activision Blizzard (ATVI).
This game had great graphics, suberb physics and excellent gameplay. The reviews were mostly very positive. It's a shame it sold poorly.
Does Dead Space count? They got one cool concept that didn't do that well and then tried twice to make it a big seller and couldn't. All of its games happened in the same generation, and there seems to be no particular interest to follow them up.
Red Steel
Remember how they offered lifetime subs for the game service?Hellgate London
Wtf! I never heard about that, thanks for the info.and they lost a lawsuit about the whole storyline being stolen
XIII unfounately.
Loved that game back in the day.

I thought this was going to be a franchise when I saw the first reveal trailer.
