Disney has recently reverted to their old way of licensing out their properties, so there's hope for another MvC game in the near future. That being said, you may not want another MvC game anytime soon depending on your stance on the Marvel side of the roster.

Depends on who'll be handling the pc port in the first place this time. If it's outsourced to somebody garbage again...well, GG. I am curious if there's maybe more pressure to handle the PC version in-house this time.
Better to be educated now than to be blind-sided later.
Back on-topic, hopefully NRS got their shit together this time as far as the PC version goes (I.E. don't outsource it).

That makes sense, seeing how DC's pushing to get the JL movie out next year. A lot of people speak poorly of Injustice, but honestly, I kind of liked it. The characters all felt unique, and it was always fun to just watch due to how flashy it got. All it needs to do is rework the "Bidding" system for Meter (Or remove it entirely, but the banter was always somewhat amusing), and I think an Injustice 2'd be pretty nice. And I'm with everyone else in wanting Static and Jamie Reyes Blue Beetle.
And because I'm expecting guest characters after MKX, doesn't WB have easy access to Space Ghost, Jotaro, or Kenshiro?

Except DeNA pretty much confirmed that the ban was real.
I dunno, their new Marvel Animation produced cartoon series have Xmen characters in (Wolverine & Sabertooth are the ones I can remember off the top of my head), and also have Galactus and Dr Doom in, and these characters even exist in the same continuity as Agent Coulson voiced by Clark Gregg. They don't have the movie rights to any of those characters.
Maybe there is more wiggleroom because those cartoons are internally produced.
Would be cool if done like the on in MKvsDC, were you could play as the heroes and as the villains in 2 stories.
Injustice had Scorpion, which ended been the top selling DLC.
So, someone from MKX should be expected.

this is my sentiment. After being burned on both arkham knight and mkx, i'm avoiding any wb game like a plague on all platforms.
Except the recent cartoons have done away with the Fox characters in the last few seasons.

One would hope that NRS finally wised up & moved PC development in-house, but that remains to be seen.
The other issue here is that it came out of left field. Although there's evidence behind this, it feels shoehorned in when the thread wasn't about MvC4 You're a great poster, but I think by this point, people are aware that MvC4 has a low-chance of having any mutants on the roster.
That said, wasn't there something up with the Milestones characters like Static and Icon? Has that been cleared?
I enjoyed the first game but after the shit they pulled with MKX on PC I'm definitely not buying this one until it's like 10 bucks, if even that.
Hell, I'm honestly surprised there's even a PC version at all. After all the shit they got for Arkham Knight and MKX, I wouldn't have been surprised to see WB move away from PC entirely.

Oh wow, I totally forgot about that, but yeah. Now I'm a little bit annoyed about that staying a Conan-exclusive all over again. I know Injustice tried to be gritty, but I'm sure one or two joke costumes wouldn't have set everything off-kilter.

I loved Injustice 1 but Netherrealm really needs to step up their support for me to trust them. I fortunately bought the game on PS3 but stuff like the season pass not applying to the last two characters still sucked. Even worse, people who bought the Wii U version (as a friend of mine did) didn't get the last two characters at all and the other DLC was rolled out in an extremely odd way. It also didn't get all the same balance patches.
Then MKX had the shitty PC port which has had all support dropped as well.
If they aren't going to support all of the versions equally they need to make less versions. How am I supposed to know if the version I pick is the one that will have support dropped or not?
All that said, Injustice 2 could improve on the original in many great ways. Especially if it takes some cues from MKX also. It needs a larger roster not so heavily focused on Batman characters and maybe someone who can model female faces better.

Fair enough, though someone brought it up & I tried to warn him (though that probably ties back to your earlier point of him probably already being educated on the matter).
As for the Milestone characters, they've used Static in Young Justice, so there may not be a problem.

Thing is, even if they did, I still wouldn't support them after MKX. They would need to fix MKX and add the missing content from XL but that's not happening.
