She could have a knife, I doubt they'd give one of her quotes and a completely unrelated image on the background.
It could be hers, but she had a huge move set in the first game with a stance change mechanic. A knife isn't exactly an iconic Wonder Woman weapon that needs to be added on top of everything else that she already has. NRS likes to play tricks on us, so those teasers might not be exactly what they appear to be.

Wonder Woman's an absolute lock for one of the reveals. I hope the other reveal isn't Flash. That'd be shit. (I have nothing against Flash, I just don't want to waste a reveal on him seeing as he was in the reveal trailer)

Wonder Woman and Red Hood would mean revealing one returning and one new character each. Which makes sense since we've had gameplay of three old and three new, along with hints of two old and two new (not counting the hints for the comic-con reveals), so far.

So, returning:

Aquaman
Batman
Flash
Harley Quinn
Superman
Wonder Woman

New:

Atrocitus
Captain Cold
Doctor Fate
Gorilla Grodd
Jason Todd (?)
Supergirl

So far the roster looks pretty awesome.

Yeah but they should try to fix their problem instead of avoiding it :/

WB has shown their asses too much now. We know they don't give a shit about PC. They know they don't give a shit about PC. So instead of causing more bad PR for themselves they rather just go the easy option and save face.

You see, I'm (personally) not sure he does, at least not in a fighting game, of all things.

My boy JC seems like an odd choice for a fighting game, that is, unless he gets Swamp Thing to do all the fighting for him. Or there's a combo that let's him talk his way out of the whole thing.

Neither is Vertigo. :)

I dunno, don't you think it's a really weird fit?

I think Constantine's lack of decent combat/magic abilities and reliance on wit, subtlety, trickery and his reputation as a complete bastard is kinda fundamental to the character. It's where I feel the new DC version (too much magic), the TV show (too much chanting), and the film (too much Holy Shotgun) fell flat. That's beside the point, of course. It'd just be nice for Hellblazer to be translated to another medium and actually work/be appropriate for once.

As one of DC's most popular characters who's already well ingrained in the Injustice Universe through the comics...the dudes infamous of having a wide variety of tricks up his sleeves.

Now I've not read much Injustice, barring his infamous run in with Batman. Does he use a lot of magic...? Is it better than his current DC incarnation?

Dude can summon demons, outcast angels, work a little dark magic, even fight dirty by wielding a shotgun or two.

He uses a shotgun in the Injustice-verse?

The holy water in the sprinkler system bit was actually brilliant and totally Vertigo John would do :)

As a fighter, he could really stand out as something of a trickster, manipulating his enemies whilst summoning his own allies to his aid. He's a distinctive character and could add a whole lot to the game.

Vote Constantine!

It just seems weird to me. A character well-known for not being combat capable (at least in his Vertigo incarnation)... in a fighting game?! XD

I dunno. I guess I'm an old and miserable defender of the defunct Vertigo faith. What I love about John is that he's a trickster, a con artist, who doesn't rely on much magic or guns (most of the time) or Latin chanting to win; he uses his quick wits, quicker tongue, list of human shields contacts, and reputation as a bastard to overcome vastly superior opponents. I've always thought that was a huge part of his appeal and his character. It's something that always gets lost in the translation to other mediums, even other comic incarnations! :(

That's just me though. If he were in it, I'd still play as him and make sure he was my main. It's ol' Con Job, innit? ;)

Sub Zero

his body's cold as ice, but he's got a heart of gold
Hope they don't waste their prerelease marketing campaign on revealing and promoting A-listers again. Everybody and their mothers know that they are lock-ins for the roster and since all returning characters retain their old movesets it would be extremely antihype.

Knowing NRS and WB though, this is exactly what's going to happen

Fuck. I hope one of the two isn't Wonder Woman. They shouldn't hype up or even announce returning characters. Wonder Woman especially, though, because she's a given. Unless they're simply giving her some attention right now because of the 75th thing. But yeah, please don't be one of the two.

Constantine could be a zoning, summon, trap based character. His normals should be street thug level, with wide swings, headbutts, and ground stomps. Should just be a terrible hand to hand fighter in general, and use a bunch of dirty tricks and sleights. His magic should be a bunch of improv stuff, like tossing a whiskey bottle, then using fire magic with his lighter to set his opponent ablaze.

It's not a knife, it's a gladius. Which is totally a WW-appropriate weapon.

Aww, man. It's Wonder Woman and Blue Beetle. I'm happy with them, but they were both a given already. The former because duh, and Blue Beetle because of Ed Boon's Twitter poll. Tsk.
