Mount & Blade II: Bannerlord 7 min Siege Defence Gameplay

Holy crap that looked good.

I've never played these games. Are the other games in the series worth checking out if this looks amazing to me?

Holy shit, that made Warband's sieges look like a playground scuffle by comparison, there's just so much more going on here, wow. This looks so fucking good.

That looked great and I love how it still has the Mount & Blade jank in there, like him flying off of the stairs XD

Looks incredible, but I was hoping we'd hear/see more about stuff like diplomacy, lord relations, heirs (?) instead of yet more siege gameplay. I couldn't be more excited, though, going to dedicate hundreds of hours to Bannerlord next summer.

Tried the other games a few times and didnt know what the hell was going on...you can see all the jank already in this video.

Not my type of gameplay though so I will leave it to the hardcore fans who seem to really love this series.

This looks so much better than I expected. What a graphical leap from their last game. Just look at how many people there are, amazing!

Put in Vive support and watch the money roll in.

Have they announced a release date yet?

Yeah I've been dying for that ever since I discovered the franchise. I grabbed the older game and while it IS great, I grabbed because I'd seen Bannerlord and there's really no comparison. Crossing my fingers it makes it to release this year but I'll be surprised if it does.

That kind of stuff has always been pretty lacklustre in the previous entries. I'd imagine they'll just put in the basic mechanics for that stuff to allow modders to flesh out such systems if they wish, rather than focus on developing it themselves.

Not sure how hard it is to understand, take your weapon and go and kill the enemies. the combat is simple to pick up

Anything about a release date yet?

Its the PC game I'm looking foward to the most. Warband was one of the best games I have ever played ever.

Holy shit hype. Looks like camping the top of the siege ladder and head shotting people climbing up one by one with overhead chops will be my favorite thing to do.

Did they announce the system requirements? It seems like you can have hundreds of npc in a fight now.

Looks really great, I have 293 hours in Warband and this siege really makes all the sieges in Warband look like kindergarten playgrounds.

Man, that's so much better than the clusterfuck mass of bodies that is Mount and Blade's sieges.

I'm afraid as to how many hours I'm going to lose to this game. Already have ~180 hours on the first series and its amazing mods.

Yeah, that is the stuff that gets me sucked in a game. I wanna hear more about that.

Game still looks fantastic, regardless.

Why hasnt this game come out already???? :(

I need it!

I have played pretty much every mod of the first one. :p

I am liking the use of siege towers and new defenses. The battle feels more lively than just an invasion of a single point that becomes a wall of bodies shortly.

They havent said much about diplomacy and economy. I really really hope they add stuff that Floris and Diplomacy mod added to the first game.

It gave so much depth. Even so, I am so hyped for this!!!!

Like sohois said, it'll probably be pretty basic.

The mods that will came later on though, oh boy, dangerous for people's free time.

Oh god it's everything I hoped it would be, and it still has the sweet M&B jank that gives it its charm. I'm so looking forward to this one.

You know a siege video is more 'marketeable' than a video about diplomacy and heir relationship ;)

No bald cap? Lies!
I would be disappointed, and honestly surprised from what we've seen so far, if they didn't also develop marked improvements in the diplomacy side of things. I don't expect them to reach Crusader Kings level of interactivity and intrigue, but I would like for them to at least match the level of interaction some of the bigger mods for Warband achieved.

They've already shown so many improvements and alterations to the series it would be rather suspect if they didn't improve the non-combat side of things to match.

We already know of stuff like improving settlements, or destroying them, in order to affect the in game economy and power. Plus stuff like gangs in cities and being able to wipe them out or take over their rackets in cities. Those are interesting indirect means of playing the game and to not have other similar options via more traditional diplomacy would feel very suspect.
