Post "What I Played / What I Expected / What I Got" pics

Whoa whoa whoa wait. I thought this game was just an action/WRPG-esque dungeon crawler so I didn't look into it. You're telling me it has a narrative that deconstructs things and pulls a good mindfuck on the player?

There's mindfucks yes and the ending and a good bit of the setting
touches on Lovecraftian ideas that Bloodborne built on
.

It's similar to Dark Souls but it's worth the venture, trust me. I think this game fits the Dark Fantasy feel better than Dark Souls as it stands now.

There are cool little stories in the game but Neon Genesis Evangelion:The Movie it is not. Not even close.

I mean, not really? I certainly can't remember anything particularly deconstructive about Demon's Souls, it's not doing anything Berserk or any other dark fantasy story hasn't done before. I guess "mindfucks" would depend on what you think constitutes a mindfuck. There's one boss that's out of the norm but if you're expecting anything approaching End of Evangelion levels of mindfuckery then no, there's nothing like that. At least not without delving into dozens of lore videos and whatnot.
Souls games are mostly loved for their lore, atmosphere, great level design, bosses and combat, not deconstructive narratives or mindfucks unless I'm forgetting something.

The plot is amazing, telling about the human greed and fragility withe the lore of the Old One, King Allant and Boletaria. The game also has a lot of lovecraftian influences.

The image of NGE is because the the plot is really well made and the last level looks like this image from End of Evangelion.

Thanos acquires the fully powered Infinity Gauntlet in The Avengers: Infinity War, but loses when all the superheroes team up together to stop him.

I was never good at collages. It's the spirit that counts.
