I thought review codes/copies of Skyrim SE were already out?
Except the multiplayer really wasn't.
Didn't it take longer than 24 hours for the PS3 verison of Skyrim's bugs to surface?
If you loved the first game, I don't see any reason to doubt Dishonored 2. That's just me, though.
That's on them. It's quite easy to wait a couple of weeks.Lol. It defeats the whole point of the review really. People want to buy games on release. If there is no review then they have to buy the game blind. Don't like it? Well too bad, store already has your money. (If it's physical)
At least with steam you can get a refund.
Whoa the console versions are 30?? yikesI'm not scared for Skyrim because well, the game is already critically acclaimed. I already know it's a good one. The 30FPS on consoles is horseshit, but unless it's PS3 levels of Skyrim bad, the port so far looked pretty good from the vids we have.
Dishonored 2 we'll see. I expect it to be stellar from what I've seen. This might be Doom all over again. But the thing is...We know straight from Bethesda ( I don't remember the interview, someone help here) that they thought the single player wouldn't go over well with reviewers.
It's fine. PS3 Skyrim review copies were sent out late, and it turned out to be great.
The only thing I am concerned about are loading times.

Reading through the first page, I'm getting the impression that people are generally more tolerant of this, and willing to give Bethesda the benefit of the doubt, versus Mafia 3 and 2K. I wonder why that is.
Performance? Like all remasters? What is there to review with Skyrim SE? It's a five year old game with a few minor graphical upgrades.
I also don't understand why people reviewed the Silent Hill HD collectionWhat is there to review with Skyrim SE? It's a five year old game with a few minor graphical upgrades.
I did love the first one, but they can still drop the ball in level design, AI, power balance and characterization.
That being said, I am really hoping the game has been balanced in a way that doesn't openly discourage using the powers. At the end of the day, if you wanted to do a pacifist run, you really could only use like three of your powers.
I still see this as a negative sign, but Doom and others have shown me there are exceptions to the rule.
I don't even understand how this policy benefits Bethesda itself under the assumption that the games are good (or at least they have faith in their product), are they really seeing significant sales of people putting more trust in them and being impatient and not waiting for reviews? It's the only thing that makes sense. There must be some significant sales produced by impatience similar to Denuvo because it pushes impatient pirates to buy it instead of waiting for it to be cracked.

They want the day one patch to be ready. Doom is a great game, they knew it was great, still held it.
No, you very clearly wish they didn't exist, and figure that mailing out copies one day before release is the way to get reviews out the absolute latest, because otherwise reviewers might try to source early copies from retailers.
You're only even bothering commenting on this because you want to mitigate the bad PR of doing so as much as possible.

It's hilarious when they cry about it on twitter.Preorder to play before reviewers, nice.
Definitely expecting this to run better than the Silent Hill remaster for sure, but yeah, emphasis on the word "generally". Anything could happen, and judging by how Fallout 4 ran on PS4/Xbox One, I wouldn't be so sure about this release.A critical difference here is I believe the Skyrim remaster was handled internally, right? When remasters are done internally they're generally exactly what they're supposed to be. (Emphasis on the word "generally")
Oh man! Now I'm worried Dishonored 2 will suck.
No, they can wait. You don't have to buy a game day one regardless of how much you're excitedLol. It defeats the whole point of the review really. People want to buy games on release. i don't have a problem with people finding flaws with the game. There's no planet on which The Evil Within is a 5.
Ha, that's not how reviews workBethesda put reviewers that consistently give them low scores on their shit list. For example, after Tom Chick gave Rage a 4/10 and Skyrim a 7/10, Bethesda refused to cooperate with QuartertoThree. Pete Hines and co. believe in the 8-10 scale.
