The prestige of the office of president is forever diminished. Trumps ridiculous face will be there to remind us forever in the lineups of presidential portraits forever. What an embarrassment for this country and everyone who repudiates everything Trump has campaigned on. The democratic process itself looks like a sham. When a person can win simply by telling people he's going to make the bad things not bad anymore, basically pandering, all while having no knowledge about anything a President needs to be knowledgeable about.

I don't normally have a ton of faith in humanity but tonight I feel absolute disgust for our species. What the fuck hope do we have as a species when the majority of voters tonite have voted to give nuclear codes to the thin skinned, petulant fascist who had to have his own twitter taken away because he is incapable of controlling himself, incapable of doing something that is even in his own best interest. In a time where information is at our fingertips, they elect a guy that every lesson from history about tyrants and dictators screams out to warn them about.

I can agree tho that Donald is EXACTLY the president the people who voted for him deserve. And I cannot fucking wait until we have the Trump equivalent of the morning after Brexit "what is the EU" moment for these people. When they realize what a fraud he is as nothing he promised them gets done.

I can only hope that he's too incompetent to do any real damage.

Although the hope dwindles when you realize he'll pick several supreme court justices. I hope he just defaults to generic conservatism instead of a brand of hard-right craziness.

This is what happens when everyone has a right to vote. When grown-ups with the brain-capacities of a Primary-School kid are allowed to breed and decide the future of a country.

I can´t think of any other solution no matter how hard I try.

Democracy doesn´t work when degenerates are allowed to have their opinion.

I saw it coming too (not bragging, no really). The moment he knocked Jeb out of the race was the moment where I saw no other option but Trump as President. Not like this is what I wanted to see. I just... saw it coming. Trump had a "can't lose" ignorance to him.

He's called for breaking down NAFTA, effectively reducing trade with Mexico, one of the US' biggest economic partners, and has also campaigned on introducing tariffs on Chinese goods. Never mind that his taxation plans are estimated to set the US debt into exorbitant highs

I think this may not be that bad. The US played supporting two populist very heavily to reach the WH. Hillary at least stopped one of them. Now, when the US realize that there is no easy path to create jobs or improving the life of people, not by blaming the rich or kicking the inmigrants, populism in the US may me death for a generation.

So as a person working in the financial sector it has been an extraordinary morning. My advice to any everyone is to look for safe havens. Until Trump releases details of his economic plan, the market will continue to tumble.

Most markets are down 3.00%. Peso is down 9.00%. Look for markets with negative correlations to the U.S or if you are a value investor trust your DCF valuations.

To anyone who did shorted or bought put options like me nice and goodluck,
